Architectural Approval Ensures Conformity
And Promotes Property Values
Our governing documents require that the association approve all proposed
architectural changes before any work is started. The importance of this
requirement cannot be overstated when you consider the reason for such a
restriction. Membership in a community association requires compliance to preexisting conditions and regulations. One of the biggest advantages of these
conditions is the protection of our property values. The value of your home is
directly related to the condition, appearances and aesthetics of our community
as a whole. By regulating the kind and types of architectural changes that can
be done, our association is better able to maintain our property values. Getting
our association to approve all proposed architectural changes is not just a
good idea to protect your investment, it is a requirement!
Customer Care Center
Are you tired of leaving voice mails when all you have is a quick question? Do
you just want to alert management about a maintenance issue that needs
immediate attention? Or, perhaps you are simply tired of the lack of human
connection from your HOA and management company.
FirstService Residential proudly introduces the Customer Care Center, the newest
addition to innovative customer service provided by FirstService Residential and
designed to better serve homeowners. During the first three months of the
center’s soft launch, nearly 70% of all homeowner calls were addressed
immediately by a trained representative of the Customer Care Center.
In addition to having a live person answer your call, homeowners can expect a
number of additional benefits, including: access to account balances; ability to gain
updates on repairs and community projects; and the time, date and location of the
next meeting of the Board of Directors.
It is FirstService Residential’s goal to utilize the Customer Care Center to
streamline many of the HOA processes, thereby creating a more pleasant
experience for all homeowners. We are just a phone call away, so please
contact us any time at (800) 428-5588.
Getting to Know Your Neighbors Creates
Community
In our fast-paced, stress-filled world we often do not create the opportunities that we
need in order to get to know our neighbors. In days past, good neighbor relations
were the staple of every strong community. Being able to share life’s experiences,
both good and bad, with those who live so close to us was once considered one of
life’s greatest blessings.
These days it is the exception rather than the rule to take the time to create strong
relationships with the people sharing our community. Each one of us has a story to
tell, a hand to lend, a laugh to share and friendship to give. We must reach out to our
neighbors and let them know that they matter and that we care. If we do that, even
in the most seemingly insignificant of ways—like a wave as we pass on the street,
then we are moving toward a better community and a better way of life.
