InvenTerre” invites your visitors, regardless of age or degree of knowledge, to “distance themselves” in an amazing journey to discover the fragile living Earth,
as they never imagined it. They also learn about the mission of satellites dedicated to observing the Earth. Finding an acceptable balance between: human
activity, quality of life and condition of the Spaceship Earth will likely be the main challenge for present and future generations.
The exhibition is built around 3 themes: “Eyes watching us,” “Tierra Madre” and “Spaceship Earth”.
3 theme areas:
“EYES” ARE WATCHING US
Tireless observers
Plasma screens and touch terminals
Explore 4 major space exploration themes: “The Atmosphere”, “The Oceans”, “Land”
and “Human Activity”.
These are albums of satellite images that the visitor can “flick through” to learn
about the various measurements and views taken by observation satellites and their
general characteristics. Each theme offers a mine of information suitable for visitors
of all ages: ocean movement, urban development, exploitation of resources, pollution,
climate, geological activity, environment, the Earth’s structure, etc.
Earth Station
Interactive model and circuit
Move from day to night and see the Earth bathed in sunlight or plunged into darkness
in which only the biggest cities sparkle in the depths of space. This representation
of the Earth includes a question-and-answer game that provides a few basic notions
about orbits and the major Earth observation satellite families.
TIERRA MADRE !
(6-12 YEARS)
4 sound terminals
This area allows young visitors to discover 4 myths from
4 different continents, each telling a tale related to the origins of
life, animals, and mankind…
SPACESHIP EARTH
“Love Planet Earth” exhibition in partnership with Telespazio
France.
The last stage of this exhibition, this photographic itinerary made
up of 16 panels invites visitors to discover splendid views of the
Earth. They can then become aware of how fragile our
Spaceship Earth really is, after its successful launch
some 4.5 billion years ago and the unstable balance
between human activity and the environment.
In addition to the exhibition
The Planet Action Foundation initiated by Spot Image/Atrium offers our visitors a chance to pursue their
discovery with an exhibition dedicated to global climate change through four main themes: Forests,
Oceans and ice, Biodiversity and Human beings. The exhibition is made up of 21 panels and requires
60m² of extra surface area.
“InvenTerre” was updated in 2013.
Preferential rental rates for museums and public authorities.

Planet Action supports projects linked to the fight against climate change by delivering satellite images
and geographic information systems (SIG). It also aims to raise awareness among the general public to
climate change, its causes and impact, as well as solutions for adaptation and mitigation developed in
the field. www.planet-action.org
