I would like to know the following about how you deal with complaints filed against pharmacists in your PCT: How many complaints have you had regarding pharmacists in your PCT? How many of these were referred by members of the public? Could you please provide details of the nature of the complaints received? How many of these complaints were upheld? How many complaints were referred to the health ombudsman? How many complaints were referred to the GPhC? How many complaints were referred to the judiciary? How many cases were referred from the GPhC to your PCT? What were the outcomes of complaints that were not upheld or referred to any of the bodies mentioned above? Our response: One complaint received This was not made by a member of the public Complaint related to incorrect medication being dispensed by a pharmacist This complaint was upheld and procedures were changed within they pharmacy and the pharmacist was provided with advice. Not referred to Ombudsman Complainant was provided with GPhC contact details Not referred to judiciary We did not contact GPhC & they did not contact us. I trust you find this information useful.
