EW100 SERIES SINGLEJET WATER METERS
GENERAL
Application
Honeywell EW100 Series singlejet water meters are used for
flow measurement of cold or warm water in residential potable
water systems.
They are available in sizes DN15 to DN20 and have a mechanical counter. They can be retrofitted with clip on RF modules for
integration into fixed or mobile RF networks. The RF protocol
used is compatible with Honeywell’s range of RF heat cost allocators.
EW1000 water meters are suitable for cold water up to 30°C.
EW1001 water meters are suitable for warm water up to 90°C.

The singlejet technology of the flow sensor combines high
measuring accuracy with long term stability. The impeller is
connected to the counter by a magnetic coupling.

• All sizes may be installed in any position. In vertical position
the dynamic range is smaller
The meter can be read from a single line eight-digit roller
counter with m³ as unit. The counter unit can be rotated for
better readibility. The roller counter has five places and three
decimal places.

EW100 Series water meters can be retrofitted with a clip on RF
module. The RF modules allow the meter to be integrated into
RF networks designed for remote readout of HCAs (heat cost
allocators).
Two modules are available
• EW9106AFZ001 for integration of an EW100 into a fixed RF
network (‘AMR’)
Additional flow data
• EW9106AFZ002 for integration of an EW100 into a mobile
RF network system (‘walk by’)
EW9106AFZ002 can be upgraded for use in a fixed RF
network. EW9106AFZ001 cannot be downgraded for use in a
walk by RF system.

Sizing
• EW100 Series water meters should be selected in such a
way that permanent system flow rates are between minimum
flow rate (Q1) and permanent flow rate (Q3)
Setup
EW100 Series water meters require no setup.
• The flow rate may not drop below minimum flow rate (Q1)
and may not exceed overload flow rate (Q4)
Readout Options
• Manual readout by visiting meter and reading consumption
values off roller counter
• RF: remote readout by attaching meter to a mobile or fixed
RF network. For this meter must be equipped with clip on RF
module EW9106AFZ001 or EW9106AFZ002
