Resource Summary
Objective:
Students will be able to model and describe mechanical and chemical
digestion in the stomach.
Notes:
During this lab, students create a simulated stomach and use it to
mechanically and chemically digest food. They then analyze the process.
The Stomach Model Lab can be used to introduce the stomach or
mechanical and chemical digestion, as well as provide students a chance to
continue learning after the concepts have been introduced.
