Engineering is Elementary will offer students the
opportunity to discover the world of engineering
through hands on activities, including building and
testing simple machines, working with gears and

In this class, we learn the basics of fishing such as

Fun Run is an exciting and fast-paced session
designed to keep the body moving. Together we
will come up with a variety of games that will keep
us on our toes to enjoy in the summer weather. I
will be bringing new games as well as talking with
students about their favorite PE games that can be
played all summer long. We will promote a healthy
lifestyle and the importance of good hydration as
we play the summer away. We will play classic
games such as Capture the Flag and introduce
some new games such as Blind Man’s Bluff. Each
person will get a water bottle that will stay at school
for the duration of the class to promote water
intake. At the end of the session, students are free
to take their water bottles home with them to

German is Fun
How Does Your Garden Grow?

This class is a basic introduction to the German
language and the cultures of the countries that
speak it. We will eat, play, sing songs and do crafts.
Do you like to spend time outside in the summer?
Do you like to learn how things grow? This class is
a hands-on opportunity to find out what gardening
is all about. Each day the students in this class
travel to LaGrange Elementary to help maintain the
school garden. Students will plant, weed, water,
and harvest the produce grown in the garden. The
produce is either used in the school district food
program, or donated to the local food pantry. This
class also includes the opportunity to plant seeds to
take home to grow, a possible trip to the food
pantry, and a picnic. Hope to see you at the

students will get to build on social skills, do arts and

will then use their writing skills to form-a-story. We
us an iPad app to put it all together to make one
action filled comic. You should enjoy drawing if you
are taking this class.

Tomah Aquatic Center. Students will be back at

swim days, students must wear a swimsuit to school
under their clothes and bring a towel and change of
clothes. Students will be transported by bus from
Tomah Middles School to the Aquatic Center at 411
East Holton Street daily. On days the weather does
not cooperate, swimming safety activities will be held
at TMS or outdoor activities at local parks.

This class is a lively, fun class where you will be
exposed to multicultural music and the culture of
each country we “visit” each week. We will be
learning one to two songs from the country (with a
funky beat) each week along with playing games,
and doing art projects that are from the country we

World Cup Soccer

played soccer in college and played on a women’s
intramural league in Hungary. Fundamentals are
an important part of the game as well as to prevent
