Turner was born in Drewryville, Virginia on June 17, 1932 and resided in Paterson, NJ for many many years. Some of his favorite foods was fish, chicken backs especially his daughters chili. He was fond of wearing many types of baseball caps and enjoyed being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Turner and mother, Nelle B. Walker, his brother, Leroy Turner and sister, Anna Bell Rose. Mr. Turner fell asleep in death on March 25, 2013. He was survived by: his daughter, Cheryl White; son-in-law, Michael White and stepson, Luther Thomas. He has one son, Herbert Turner Jr., and step children, Ronnie Bracey, Carolyn Williams, Paul Thomas. He also had four grandchildren, Quashana, Victoria, Shaquira, Michael I. White and one great-grandson, De'Andre White; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He will truly be missed by all who truly loved and cared for him.
