The members of Caminar Latino are pleased to introduce A Taste of Latin Atlanta
festival. On Sunday, June 6, 2010 we will host our fourth annual festival at Blackburn
Park in Atlanta, Georgia. A Taste of Latin Atlanta is a family-friendly event featuring
authentic Latin dishes and culture. Attendees may purchase tasting tickets to sample
a wide variety of homemade Latin dishes prepared by members of the Latino
community and vote for their favorite. Entertainment and children’s activities are
also provided.
Caminar Latino is a non-profit domestic violence organization that focuses on creating
possibilities for Latino families affected by violence, to help them transform their lives
and their communities.

program as a group of people that was too torn apart to even be called a family. I, for
one, thought that no matter where we went, or who tried to help us, my father would
never be anything more than someone who I thought of as the one reason why my life
had and continued to be so hard.”

Caminar Latino and the program itself has made an impact like no other person or

Today, Caminar Latino still remains the only domestic violence intervention program
in the State of Georgia that offers comprehensive services to Latino immigrant families
and has proven to be an innovative and culturally appropriate manner to work with
Latino families affected by domestic violence. Since 2000, Caminar Latino provided
over 131,000 direct services to more than 5,300 Latino men, women, and children
affected by violence.
We hope you will consider partnering with Caminar Latino by sponsoring this terrific
community event. As this is still a new event for our organization, your help would be
instrumental in establishing a quality precedent.

By sponsoring this event you will not only be contributing directly to the life-changing
work that Caminar Latino does with the 1 in 4 families who are affected by
domestic violence, but you will also be afforded the unique opportunity of

All the profits from the festival will go directly to Caminar Latino, Inc. to
support the direct services it provides as well as its programs of awareness, education,
advocacy and research on domestic violence and its impact on the Latino community.
