TOUR INFORMATION
Upon arrival at the Airport, a representative will be waiting to escort you to the vehicle for your private road transfer to
your Guest House for a one night stay.
Depending on your time of arrival you can choose from many optional excursions for today; a Windhoek City Tour or a
Township Tour, each exploring the history and background of different parts of the city. Alternatively, indulge in an
afternoon game-viewing excursion to a game farm north of Windhoek.

The Olive Grove Guest House:-
Located close to the Windhoek city centre, in a quiet and peaceful area, the Olive Grove Guesthouse is ideal to start and
finish your journey through Namibia. This boutique guesthouse combines stylish architecture, simple but carefully
selected decoration and personal service. Olive Grove Guesthouse caters for every need of the most discerning traveller,
with emphasis on simplicity and elegance.
The 11 en-suite rooms are spacious and the cemented brick cupboards and bed bases are beautifully rounded off with
thick mattresses, quality linen, cane basket drawers, wrought-iron furniture, and as a special touch, different Moroccan
lampshades and a silver Moroccan teapot. Care was taken to ensure that the mini-bar is stocked with everything from
wine to nuts and that every room has proper filter coffee and a plunger. The contrast between the rustic cement, offwhite linen, old silver and luxurious touches, is enchanting. One of Olive Grove’s main features is the large veranda in
front of the rooms.
The inside lounge is tastefully decorated, with comfortable chairs and a fireplace. The open-plan kitchen allows the guests
to enjoy a glass of wine in the lounge while the chefs prepare dinner. Alternatively, for those who prefer some privacy,
meals can be enjoyed in their rooms or on the patio.
A guest computer is available, for people to check their emails and stay in touch with family and friends back home and
because staying in touch is so important we ensured free wifi is available throughout the property & in the privacy your
room. The garden is rounded off with a designer plunge pool, comfortable chairs to enjoy the tranquillity and a small sun
lounge.

After a scrumptious breakfast, your hire vehicle will be delivered to your Guest House.
Depart Windhoek and drive south to Sossusvlei in the heart of the Namib Desert, where a 2 night stay will be enjoyed.
Enjoy the ancient atmosphere of the world’s oldest desert as you marvel at some of the highest dunes in the world.
Sossusvlei is almost totally surrounded by sharp edged dunes, beyond which a sea of sand that stretches to the Atlantic
on the west coast. Arrive in the afternoon and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Driving time: Approximately 4.5 hour drive from Windhoek to Sossusvlei travelling along the C24 and C14 respectively.

Namib Desert Lodge
One of the Sossusvlei lodges, Namib Desert Lodge is imbued with its own special character. Enjoy the relaxed and friendly
ambience while cooling off at the pool, watching gemsbok arrive at the waterhole to drink, walking the trails into the
dunes or dining in the cosy restaurant. Down-to-earth and homely, it is a place to put up feet, explore, discover and love.
For the ultimate desert experience, spend a night in the dunes at Dune Star Camp. An intimate adventure, this slick and
simple hideaway stands alone deep in the Namib Desert.
Overnight: Namib Desert Lodge - Standard Room (BB) or similar
Rise very early and drive to the dunes for a thrilling excursion. Enter the park at Sesriem and then drive for about 45
minutes to the 2x4 car park. Unless your rental car is a 4x4, you can either walk from here or take the 4x4 dune shuttle
which runs around the clock. Climb the highest dunes and marvel at the view from the top. Walk over Deadvlei, a sight to
be seen with its cracked white clay and skeletal trees. Pay a visit to the Sesriem Canyon which offers a refreshing
reprieve from the harsh desert heat. Return to the lodge around lunchtime and spend the rest of the day at the swimming
pool or enjoying a drink at the bar.

After breakfast depart for Sossusvlei for a two night stay in Swakopmund, Namibia’s premier holiday resort. Explore the
small coastal town on foot, visiting some of the many sidewalk cafés and boutique stores. This town boasts older
buildings in the German Colonial style. The snake park and aquarium are also worth a visit. Take a leisurely stroll along
the beach and enjoy the sunset.

Sandfields Guesthouse is a small, family run, boutique establishment in Swakopmund. The guest house is located in an
upmarket area only a short walk from the beach - while the town center is only a short drive away. Sandfields Guesthouse
is set around a large central lounge which opens onto the garden. The lounge is houses deep comfortable lounge
furniture and a massive fireplace and is a splendid place to end your day or start your evening with an aperitif from the
honesty bar. The large breakfast room opens out onto the garden with outside seating for clear Swakopmund mornings.
Breakfasts are a feast of yogurts, cheeses, cold cuts, preserves and hot fry-ups made to order. Wash it all down with your
choice of fresh fruit juices, teas, freshly brewed coffee or a decadent mug of hot chocolate. Those seeking connectivity

desert tour takes you out into the beautiful expanse of the Namib to see the animals roaming the desert sands.

Proceed north from Swakopmund to Etosha National Park, the jewel in the crown of Namibia. Etosha, or ‘place of dry
water’, covers a vast expanse of Northern Namibia and is dominated by a unique feature – a 5,000km² salt pan. Game
and birdlife abound in this sanctuary, where you can choose between a self-drive safari or guided game drive (for your
own account) through the reserve. Return to the lodge at sunset and enjoy hospitality in true Namibian style. Creatively
furnished bungalows offer a warm African ambience, and facilities at the camp include a swimming pool and internet
café.
Driving time: Approximately 6.5 hour drive from Swakopmund to Etosha travelling along the C35. The distance is about
561 km.
Etosha Safari Camp
Etosha Safari Camp is situated just 10 km south of Andersson Gate on the C 38 between Outjo and Okaukuejo. 50 twinbedded chalets nestle among Mopani trees and impart a feeling of living in the lap of African nature. Each of them is
equipped with mosquito gauze, air conditioning and its own bathroom and small veranda. Special attractions are the
Okambashu Restaurant and the Oshebeena Bar, styled like a typical little township bar and brimming with African joie de
vivre. Etosha Safari Camp is the perfect base for safari excursions into Etosha - with an experienced guide on the daily
game drive or by yourself in your own car.

Spend a full day exploring the game park either on a self-drive safari or guided game drive (for your own account). Be on
the lookout for the big four, there are no buffalo in Etosha. Large herds of animals wander over the plains and gather at
the many waterholes, making Etosha National Park a true game viewing paradise.
You can game drive from Okaukuejo until Halali and have a lunch stop there before returning to Okaukuejo’s gate by
sunset. Halali is the park’s central camp and game viewing around the area is very good. The gates of Etosha National
Park open at sunrise and close at sunset. With over 114 species of mammals there are always animals to be seen
roaming the plains, and herds of 50 elephant or more can be seen occasionally walking right in front of you in the middle
of the road – a safari-goers’ dream!

After breakfast today depart Etosha and drive to the Waterberg Plateau Park; a lush, green, water-rich area with an
abundance of birds and small antelopes which can often be seen on the walking trails. Enjoy the flourishing vegetation as
a backdrop here at the fertile Waterberg, contrasting with the stark desert and savannah terrain of the rest of Namibia.
Driving time: Approximately 3 hour drive from Etosha to Waterberg travelling along the C38 and the B1. The distance is
about 250 km.
Waterberg Guest Farm
Situated at the foot of the majestic Waterberg Plateau in Northern Central Namibia is the magnificent Waterberg Guest
Farm, a 42 000 hectare paradise of natural African savannah. The original 1930s manager's house was converted into a
guesthouse with 4 double and twin rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms.
We offer guided and un-guided walking trails. These lead up the Small Waterberg or to the Omumborombonga Forest.
The trails are as long as you want them – but in general between 1.5 and 3 hours.
The Lodge offers a range of Wellness Treatments. These range from Aromatherapy, Deep Tissue to Hand and Feet
Massages.

Rise early to ensure enough time for a last walk up the plateau before departing for Windhoek. Drive via Okahandja
