Application for “Spring Break in Public Affairs”
From K Street to Capitol Hill
The Office of Career Services is proud to sponsor the first annual “Spring Break in Public Affairs” program. This
program is an opportunity for Georgetown Law JD students interested in lobbying and legislative careers to meet
and connect with experienced practitioners working in government relations and on Capitol Hill over Spring Break.
Students will attend a number of informational meetings, primarily in group settings, with law school alumni
working for lobbying firms, trade associations, companies, and as congressional staffers on Capitol Hill.
The informational meetings will be scheduled over Spring Break (March 10-14, 2014), with a lunch and debrief
session on Friday, March 14th. The meeting schedule will be designed to give students a broad exposure to the
various lobbying and legislative settings, both on and off the Hill, where law school graduates work, and to
network with several Georgetown alumni.
The Selection Committee will review all application materials and will invite semi-finalists to interview with the
Committee during the week of November 11th. The Selection Committee reserves the right to make the final
decision on the selection of participants.
If you are interested in applying, please fill out the application below and submit this form, along with the
