Mutual Awareness: Rental of the Legion Banquet Hall is by mutual agreement between the Lessor and Lessee.
Lessor reserves the right to refuse rental for any reason.

RENTAL FEES
Hall Rental - Members
$300.00 (+ H.S.T.) = $339.00, plus $200.00 Security Deposit, which will be returned by
mail to the LESSEE within two weeks after the function, if there are no issues.
Hall Rental - Non-Members
$500.00 (+ H.S.T.) = $565.00, plus $200.00 Security Deposit, which will be returned by
mail to the LESSEE within two weeks after the function, if there are no issues.
(includes use of refrigerator and coffeemaker only)
Meeting / Seminars
$100.00 (+ H.S.T.) = $113.00
Kitchen Facilities
$300.00 (+ H.S.T.) = $339.00, plus $200.00 Security Deposit, which will be returned by
mail to the LESSEE within two weeks after the function, if there are no issues.
(includes use of ovens, stove, refrigerator, dishes, utensils, cutlery and dishwashing equipment)
Prior Approval Required
Food handling certification “PROTON” required.
The refundable Security Deposit must be given to Legion representative upon signing and submitting this agreement.

Terms and Conditions
PREMISES
The maximum number of people allowed in the Banquet Hall shall not exceed 250 occupants for receptions / dances or
presentations.
Ontario Liquor Board of Ontario, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission, Ontario Fire Regulations and Safety Codes
and Royal Canadian Legion By-laws, govern the premises. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the building.
Alcohol is only permitted outdoors in the designated patio areas. No minors shall be served any alcoholic beverages.
Security cameras cover outside premises including parking lot.
Any infraction of building rules or regulations will result in immediate cancellation of Rental Agreement.
LESSEE is responsible for their guests.
Damage and/or loss of personal property will be the responsibility of the LESSEE.
RENTAL HALL FEE / DEPOSIT
The full hall rental fee, plus DEPOSIT, must be paid at time of Agreement submission. Payment to be made by certified
cheque payable to “Royal Canadian Legion Branch 459” or paid in cash.
At the conclusion of the contracted function, the premises will be inspected, and if no damage has occurred, the DEPOSIT
will be returned by mail to the LESSEE within two weeks after the function. The Royal Canadian Legion reserves the right
to deduct monetary compensation from the deposit for any damages to the premises and if the hall and parking lot has not
been cleaned or if all decorations and adhesive devices have not been properly removed.
CANCELLATION OF BOOKING
Written notice of cancellation submitted to Legion thirty (30) days or more prior to the function - full refund of rental fees
paid.
Written notice of cancellation submitted to Legion less than thirty (30) days prior to the function - 50% refund of deposit.
LEGION BAR / BARTENDER FEES
Legion Bartenders cost $15.00 per hour or any portion thereof. Bartenders will be paid for one half (1/2) hour before and
one half (1/2) hour after requested hours for preparation and close-up.
If the correct number of bartenders is not requested and additional bartenders have to be called in to help with the
function, an additional cost of $40.00 will be charged to the LESSEE, plus the hourly cost of the bartender.
Wine on the table, outside of Legion License, will be charged a corkage fee of $5.00 per bottle, and must be handled by
the Legion Bartenders. Prior approval is required.
MEMBERS RENTAL AGREEMENT
Members must be in good standing at least 1 year to receive rate.
Rental must be directly for the member and not a third party, or full rate will apply.
USE OF KITCHEN
Under the rental agreement, LESSEE will have use of a refrigerator to store food if so needed. The serving of food will
only be allowed on tables set up in the hall, outside the kitchen.
The LESSEE consent and agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Royal Canadian Legion 459, in respect to
all claims, demands, actions, suits and costs arising out of any act or omission of the Lessee and/or servant,
agent or employee of the Lessee or arising out of the use of the said facility by the Lessee.
