Ventilation Grille PA
Description
Model
The ventilation grille PA is suitable for use in supply and return
air installations and for installation in walls, ceilings, floors and
ventilation ducts. For air deflection, horizontal or vertical (for
floors only), fixed blade profiles are attached at the front side.
For wall mounting, basic type PA...-1 with concealed mounting (-VM, standard) or screw mounting (-SM) is suitable. The
basic type PA...-3 with concealed mounting (-VM) and the
model PA-R with concealed mounting (-VM) are suitable for
floor installation.
According to the required air throw pattern, the blade profile of
the basic types PA..-1 and PA...-3 can be selected from three different blade profiles (PAZ standard, PAG and PAS).
The louvre spacing of basic types PA...-1 and PA...-3 for nonwalk-on and non-ball-impact-resistant use is 13 mm (standard), while for walk-on and ball-impact-resistant use (acc. to
DIN 18032, Part 3), for PA...-1 with screw mounting (-SM) only
or for PA...-3 with concealed mounting (-VM) only it is 8 mm. The
louvre spacing for model PA-R with roll-down grille is 10 mm.
The blade insert can be removed for cleaning purposes.
At an extra charge, a plenum box (for PA...-1 / PA...-2a only)
can be mounted (only available without hit-and-miss damper).
The damper in the adapter of the plenum box (at an extra
charge) is used for simple air volume regulation.
The technical data apply to all models.

PA-R (Roll-down grille)
Technical handling
Use:
Resistance:
Safety:
The roll-down grille is suitable for transit areas
of residential and office buildings. Its resistance
and load bearing capacity are such that they fulfil the requirements of permanent and daily use.
The chemical, thermal and mechanical resistances of the roll-down grille were tested and
showed that it is also UV-resistant. This grille is
perfect for wet areas (e.g. swimming pool, barefoot areas) and can be cleaned in dishwashers
(up to 60°C).
The integrated cutting edge cover reduces the
risk of injuries and prevents rattling in case of
lateral play. Due to its anti-slip design, it is safe
to walk on.
Chemical and mechanical resistance
The quality requirements for daily use were proven for all surface types in several test series (based on requirements of
standards and regulations); they have been verified for the following chemical and mechanical resistances:
- Coating thickness to ISO 2360 (DIN 50984)
- Cross-cut test to ISO 2409 (DIN 53151): GT0
- Buchholz indentation test to ISO 2815 (DIN 53153)
- Ball impact test according to ASTM D 2794
- Boiling test according to GSB procedure (organization for
quality surface coating)
- Resistance to chlorine and salt compounds, e.g. in swimming pools
- Cleaning with standard cleaning agents
- Dishwasher-proof (up to 60°C)
- UV-resistant
