Day 1 I am enough... ! Congratulations! Way to take a bold step toward cultivating enoughness and sufficiency in YOUR life! I don’t know about you, but when I was growing up, ‘sufficient’ implied ‘just okay’ or ‘mediocre.’ I mean, who strives to be sufficient in math class? Sufficient was like a C, maybe a C+ (at best). But what if the way most of the world understands sufficiency is a little...well, a little off? At Shakti, we talk about sufficiency as ‘enoughness,’ because particularly as women, we think and talk about being enough, having enough and doing enough all the time...and I mean ALL the time! So welcome to the 7-day Enoughness Challenge, where for the next week, we get to play with and in our enoughness! Throughout the week, we will be noticing and cleansing all of the ways scarcity creeps into our lives. Oh ya, I forgot to mention, scarcity is the opposite of enoughness and sufficiency, so we definitely want to clear it away! We will cleanse our vocabulary, thought patterns and behaviors, making room for enoughness in as many ways as we possibly can. We will also be engaging in a practice of taking inventory - of thinking and journaling about our resources (ourselves, time, money, food, connections, joy), when we feel like we have enough and when we feel like we need more. And news to all of us... needing is very different from wanting! Lastly, we will practice gratitude daily. I would tell you why and how this relates to enoughness and sufficiency, but I’d rather you experience it for yourself! So, are you ready? Day 1, here we come... Day 1: I am a tremendous natural resource, just as I am... Message from the Goddess Practice “Dig Deeper” Resource “You alone are enough. You have nothing to prove to anybody.” What’s the one selfindulgent thing you would do today if you could? ~ Maya Angelou ~ Do it, no matter what. You are worth it!
