WHO’S THE MOST EPIC? MONEYSUPERMARKET BRINGS BACK
DAVE, COLIN AND GARY FOR UNIQUE DANCE OFF
•
Latest TV spot for ‘You’re So MoneySuperMarket’ campaign premieres during
new series of Britain’s Got Talent this weekend
Alongside dancing dogs and singing sensations, ITV viewers this Saturday night (9th April 2016)
will be treated to another outstanding show of talent as MoneySuperMarket premieres an Epic
Dance Off with a difference as part of the broadcaster’s Proud to Present initiative.
The next instalment of the UK’s leading price comparison site’s ‘You’re So MoneySuperMarket’
ad campaign brings together the protagonists from the last three ads, as they battle it out over
120 seconds to show how epic they feel after saving money with MoneySuperMarket. Viewers
will be treated to a unique dance off that combines the ‘Epic Strut’ of hotpant-wearing
businessman Dave, the Wrecking Ball of ‘Epic Builder’ Colin and the most recent
MoneySuperMarket mover, Gary, and his ‘Epic Wolf’.
The scene is set in an underground car park, where Colin is unloading scaffolding from his van
and suddenly spots Dave strutting his stuff across the concrete. Dave throws down the gauntlet
- and his shopping - initiating MoneySuperMarket’s Epic Dance Off. Colin fights back with a
range of twirls and twists, and the two battle it out in a sassy showdown.
Joining the battle, Gary grooves his way into proceedings from behind a pillar and delivers a
mesmerising set of signature body popping moves, including the ‘pop ‘n’ lock’ and ‘wave’. This
in turn drives Dave and Colin to up the ante with a sensational display of swinging hips, swaying
arms, high kicks and of course, the famous worm from Colin. The battle ends with a
recognisable voice praising their respective performances, stating: “Fellas, You’re So
MoneySuperMarket.”
The 120 second advert will air on Saturday 9th April during the first ad break of Britain’s Got
Talent on ITV (show begins at 7pm), and will be amplified through a multi-channel integrated
campaign across PR, digital and social media, using the hashtag #EpicDanceOff. The
soundtrack is Fifth Harmony’s Worth It feat. Kid Ink, and the voiceover is by Peter Dickson,
voice of The XFactor and Britain’s Got Talent.
Darren Bentley, Marketing Director at MoneySuperMarket, said: “We’re always looking for new
and engaging ways to illustrate how ‘epic’ people feel when they save money at
MoneySuperMarket. Dave, Colin and Gary have displayed that feeling individually over the last
year and now we feel it’s time to bring them back together to show what they’ve got in an Epic
Dance Off you won’t want to miss. As for who’s best – that’s up to the great British public to
decide!”
Fans can go online from Saturday evening to watch the ad again and vote for ‘Who’s the most
Epic’ at http://www.moneysupermarket.com/hubs/moneysupermarket-tv-ad/.
