Congratulations Scholarship Recipients 
Each year at Altamaha Federal Credit Union, we are proud to support the young people in our membership who are seeking
higher education. We award three $1500 scholarships to students who have been members at AFCU for a least one year
prior to graduation and have been accepted into college. Check out this year’s winners:

Alexis is the daughter

to begin classes the

T I P When you think about what you can
afford for your monthly transportation
expense, remember it’s not just the car
payment. Auto insurance, gas, parking,
repairs and maintenance can be real
budget-busters if you haven’t planned for
them.
The percentage of your available
credit limit you use makes up 30% of your
score. Pay down your credit card balances
at least a month before you apply for the
car loan to be in a better position to
potentially get a low interest rate.

A relative or friend can co-sign on a
vehicle loan with you to help you qualify,
but be aware that if you miss payments on
