ROMANTIC IDEAS FOR THE MONTH
You can do one item each day or combine multiple items in one day
1) Instead of 12 days of Christmas, do 14 days of Valentine. Starting on
February 1st, surprise your spouse with a little gift each day until February
14th. The gift can be as simple as a love poem, putting chocolates on the pillow
when they wake up, call them in the middle of the day to say “I love you”. The
dollar stores also have great trinkets
2) Make a picnic. It can be for lunch/dinner. Have it in the park or in the
middle of your living room.
3) Send an e-card (free) every day
4) Leave love notes in different areas of the house, car, or wallet or purse
5) Make a sex coupon book – Different sexual acts to perform and your spouse
can redeem by presenting the coupon (For married folks only)
6) Give your spouse a list of 10-15 things you love about them
7) Cut out hearts out of red construction paper, then write on each of them
what you love best about them
8) Reenact your first date or your best date with your spouse
9) Make a homemade card
10) Write a poem to your spouse or if you are not creative, find a poem and
write the poem out in your own handwriting
11) Play an adult game
12) Go to a concert (There are several that will be in town for Valentine
weekend)
13) Take a gondola boat ride in Scottsdale (Cost: $10 per person)
14) Take a romantic walk in the Botanical Gardens
15) Ride the light rail or bus from beginning to end of route
16) Schedule a couple spa day or make your own spa ritual at home by buying
massage oil, milk bath, or giving a pedicure
17) Write a several love notes on small strips of paper. Place the paper in a
balloon. Blow the balloon up. Place them around the house and then have your
spouse pop each balloon to read the note.
18) Serve breakfast in bed
19) Stay in bed all day
20) Do an activity that your spouse loves to do. (i.e. basketball game,
shopping). Remember it is not about you!
21) Spend the day at the zoo
22) Bubble bath for two
23) Get sexy lingerie for each of you (there are sexy lingerie for men, also)
24) Take a cooking class together
25) Make your own romantic basket. Most pre-made baskets can cost up to
$25-$50. So, can make your own for about $10. The dollar store can be your
friend
26) Decorate your bedroom to display romance. Candles, rose petals, white
sheets (rose petals will stand out more) or splurge and buy silk sheets,
preferably red.
27) Make a CD of your spouse’s favorite songs
28) Go to a drive in movie. Or make your own drive in movie surroundings by
placing a portable DVD player on your dashboard. Put in your favorite movie.
Microwave some popcorn and park in your driveway.

29) Send your spouse a love letter or card in the mail each day for a week.
