ENTRY FEES: ADULT $185.00, JUNIOR $50.00, TEAM DEPOSIT FOR TAGS/TAG WALLET $100.00
Make cheques payable to the ‘Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club’ or alternatively pay in person by
EFTPOS at the HHBSC Bar (Lyn 9183 1116 MWF) or to the NBSFC Secretary or any BFS Committee Member.
Entry forms received on or after May 19th will attract a $50 dollar late fee per team. Competition shirts and shirt
sizes will be subject to availability and will be allocated in order of entry forms received. Entry fee includes an
evening meal supplied by the HHB&SC on Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s Presentation Night. A competition
Billfish Shootout Fishing Shirt is supplied (subject to the terms listed above) to each angler. If you require tags a Tag
Wallet and Tags can be requested which the deposit ($100) will be refunded when all used and unused Tags and
Tag Wallet are returned at the end of the competition. Extra meals can be purchased and nominated below at an
extra cost of $30 per meal per night. Extra shirts can be purchased and be nominated below at an extra cost of $65.
You do not need to be a member of a Fishing Club or HHB&SC to fish this Tournament.

PROGRAM: Pre-Comp BILLFISH BAIT & RIGGING presentation on Wednesday 10th May 2017 1900hrs at the
Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club (HHBSC) Dampier. Billfish bait rigging, use of circle hooks, lures and general
Billfish tactics will be demonstrated. All are welcome and encouraged to attend but it is not compulsory.

C O M P U L S O R Y B R I E F I N G p r e s e n t a t i o n o n Friday 2 n d June starting at 1800hrs sharp at the
Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club, Dampier. Attendance of at least one member from each team is compulsory.
On the night each team will be issued with a pack that will contain: Tags and Tag Wallet (if ordered), Meal Tickets,
Com petition Book let whic h inc ludes : Map of local area, General Gamefishing Rules, Sponsors information,
Tide times for the long weekend, Team name reference guide sheet, sponsor gifts, boating & safety guides, VHF
Radio CH 21 use and etiquette information. During the briefing weather conditions and some known billfish grounds
will be discussed and there will also be a chance to ask some general questions. Massive Raffle 5 tix for $20.00.

CONDITIONS: You’re the Skipper You’re Responsible for the safety of your team and legal operation of
your vessel and its trailer: Skippers please note that the Departments of Transport & Fisheries are usually
in attendance both on the water, and also at all Dampier boat ramps throughout the WA Day long weekend.

Each team must contain a minimum of 2 members with at least one adult. No purely junior teams will
be allowed.

THIS COMPETION WILL BE RUN USING MARINE VHF TRANSCEIVER ONLY AND ALL
BOATS MUST BE FITTED WITH A WORKING FIXED MARINE VHF TRANSCEIVER TO
COMPETE. HAND HELD TRANSCEIVERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

All competitors participate in this tournament entirely at their own risk and the competition committee
will not be held responsible for any loss or damage sustained by any competitor to his/her person
or effects. The competition committee reserves the right to alter, amend, delete or add any rule that
they believe will improve the tournament.

The fine print: In the event of the 2017 BFS competition being suspended or cancelled* no monies will be refunded as all monies have been allocated and spent. If
the BFS 2017 is suspended during the day then current angler and team standings apply, if fish have been tagged they will count. The remainder of the vacant prize
categories will be drawn from the competitor’s entry pool and awarded to competitors present on the night. Redraw will occur in the event a competitor is not
present. The awarding of prizes process will be conducted in a similar manner as above* each night until all prizes are awarded. BFS Committee decisions in regards
to this process and the awarding of prizes are final. Daily NBSFC raffle prizes are held for winners and not redrawn. NBSFC BFS Committee Chair: K. MacFarlane
