READING FOCUS: Reading for Evidence WRITING FOCUS: Working with Evidence 1. CONTENT DETAIL/UNIT OVERVIEW Describe your unit in detail using narrative form. In this 10 week unit, students will answer text dependent questions with examples from the text, write a constructed response analyzing character change, take notes, and conduct a mini research question. Writing and vocabulary, as well as non‐ fiction reading supplements the novel study in LAR. Research skills are designed in grade 6 to be developed throughout the year in preparation for Grade 7‐8. 2.
