One person moves it
The FRONTPRESS, a one-person-operated vehicle,
provides a safe and comfortable workplace, as the
driver is always well protected from the weather and
from contact with refuse. There is no physically
onerous work involved in lifting and lowering
containers, as the powerful pickup arms grip the
container accurately and effortlessly. Using a joystick,
the driver controls the approach and emptying
procedures with great ease from the cab. This is a

is protected from injury by the container whilst at

for modern waste disposal logistics offers many
possibilities including the collection of two differing
waste types at the same time on one trip and
consequently optimum design for routes with
variable pickup schedules.
Thanks to its compartmentalized construction of
the SELECTAPRESS, the collection and separation of
two differing waste types at the same time on one
round is made possible. The increasing individuality
of material flows demands flexible logistics. With the

SELECTAPRESS you have many options for planning
collection flexibly and in accordance with your needs.
The body structure is divided along its length in the
ratio of 1/3:2/3 or alternatively 2/3:1/3.
The optional light beams at the tailgate of the
SELECTAPRESS allows a continuous loading
mechanism cycle, even with a rave height of less
than 1,400 mm. Should the light beam be
interrupted by the downward movement of the
loading mechanism, the compactor stops. The
movement can be restarted at the touch of a button.
This allows continuous operation of the loading
mechanism, without the risk of a dangerous loading

The VARIOPRESS is the solution for the future as
far as the disposal of household and commercial
recyclables and other waste materials is concerned.
This refuse vehicle really does live up to its name.
Because it is so versatile it can be utilised, regardless
of the density of the waste and with any size of
container, from 60 litre bins right up to, upon
request, 5 m³ refillable containers.
Thanks to the option of body sizes ranging from
7 to 30 m³ and a choice of chassis ranging from
narrow-track to the large four-axle version, a type

The new generation: Quiet as a whisper, highly
economical and extremely robust.
On its daily round the refuse disposal vehicle motor
is subject to numerous and extremely variable
demands. The DUALPOWER option from FAUN
Zoeller (UK) Limited is an optimised driveline. It has
its own diesel-electric generator which stores
energy from braking for use in the refuse disposal
operations. This not only relieves stress on the diesel
traction engine, brakes and clutch, it also relieves

DUALPOWER option, energy-intensive air brakes are
replaced with electric brakes which are designed for

Innovative concept
The innovative concept allows the collection of food
waste and general domestic waste. It has a specially
designed side loading and side tipping pod for the
collection of food waste. This is situated behind the
vehicle cab. The side loading pod is available in
variable cubic metre sizes and features a 240L bin
lift to the near side for emptying wheeled bins and
has the option available of a side loading trough to
facilitate loading by kerb side boxes.

The Omega heavy duty trade low level, hydraulic
commercial bin lifter, incorporates the flexibility
for the collection of various types of refuse within
one collection point. The OMEGA has been
developed to be “bolt on/bolt off” so that the
user may exchange a damaged unit quickly, thus
increasing vehicle utilisation. The larger fold down

and a divided comb lift for the discharge of bins

The De-Mount provides the ideal solution when bin
lifting is an occasional or specialist requirement. It is
a powerful, versatile, detachable single lifter using
a precision, high quality rotary actuator. It’s design
allows it to be used where a mixture of manual and
containerised refuse is collected.
Developed to provide outstanding performance with
flexibility, the De-Mount is the ideal device for use
in parks, amenity and back-up fleet applications
[either individually or in pairs] capable of lifting
120-360 litre containers in just eight seconds.

A series of clean sweeps
The FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited VIAJET 4 is a small,
flexible, powerful sweeper with a 4 m³ body. It is
quiet, compact and highly maneuverable, making
it an ideal sweeping solution for inner city areas,
especially due to its capability to unload into refuse
collection vehicles by a high mounted breakover
point of the body. It is also capable of speeds up to
55mph, greatly minimizing driving time between
usage sites and the waste depot.
The VIAJET 4 is equipped with the proven FAUN
Zoeller (UK) Limited air circulation system as
standard. This means that 70% of the air taken in
remains in circulation and only 30% is ejected from
the sweeper. The suctioned air serves to agitate the

sweepings, improving the ability of the air current
to take in and filter out the dirt. The FAUN Zoeller
(UK) Limited air circulation system significantly
reduces dust emissions, makes for better cleaning
and also minimizes water consumption. Less water
also means less total weight, resulting in lower fuel
consumption and a higher payload.
As an alternative, the VIAJET 4 can also be equipped
with a mechanical intake unit. This makes the body
engine unnecessary, which in turn helps the sweeper
to save fuel and operate even more quietly. It also
reduces the vehicle’s unladen weight when
compared with other compact sweepers without
affecting loading capacity.

One drive, two brushes, three times the performance
It may be small, but it certainly makes up for it! That
is an accurate description of the VIAJET 5 from FAUN
Zoeller (UK) Limited. This 5m³ machine does not lag
behind its big brother, the VIAJET 6/7, in any aspect
of its performance. The compact design makes for
simple handling by the operator, and the clearly
laid out control console gives the driver
unrestricted room.
In narrow streets and alleys the VIAJET 5 with its slim
dimensions and small tyre size, can sweep nimbly on
every route. On completion of the cleaning round,
the filled container can be easily emptied thanks
to its smooth surface. So however demanding the
sweeping task, working with the VIAJET 5 becomes
an entirely clean affair.
By virtue of its hydrostatic transmission system, it
is precisely in difficult sweeping tasks, where slow
speeds are needed, that the VIAJET 5 can show its
optimal handling qualities. By dispensing with the
auxiliary motor, the VIAJET 5 also fully meets the
increasing demands for environmental protection
and safety, because it produces less exhaust gas and
makes less noise as it sweeps.

Flexibility on all sides is the keyword. The road
sweeper can, if required, be fitted with disc brushes,
suction and blowing chutes on the left, right or
both sides and with silencing strips. Having plenty of
power, VIAJET can cope with even the dirtiest job.
The generously dimensioned water tank enables the
VIAJET to clean well over long distances, while the
well thought out modular system allows all types of
requirements to be met. This also means the fitting
with equipment in accordance to RAL ZU 59 giving
the use of the sign ‘Blue Angel’.

Ecosweep
Highly economical, environmentally friendly and highly efficient
ECOSWEEP is a mechanical waste sweeping and
collecting unit. It can be installed on the tailgate
of any rear loader and quickly switched from one
vehicle to another. The size of the collector and the
compacting of the sweepings help save around 20
emptyings, guaranteeing more efficient utilization of
capacity. The unit can be driven either by an auxiliary
engine or a chassis hydraulic system. Two rotating
cylindrical brushes one positioned above the other
work inside the ECOSWEEP. The lower brush rotates
against the direction of travel, thereby lifting the
sweeping for easy pick up. The centrifugal force
conveys the sweepings to the second cylindrical
brush, which then propels them into the container.

One seamless solution
The Ochsner weighing and ID system is fully
integrated with FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s range
of lifters.
FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited’s domestic and commercial
lifters have been developed to accept the Ochsner
(part of the FAUN group) weighing system resulting
in a fully integrated bin weighing and identification
system, combining two of the waste industry’s
market leading technologies into one seamless
solution.
The Ochsner weighing and ID system is truly dynamic
and so has no effect on the already fast cycle times
of the FAUN Zoeller (UK) Limited lifters; 7secs
domestic, 9secs commercial.

The Ochsner system has been tried and tested in
Switzerland so has been designed to operate in
temperatures from -30° to 50°. It is also not effected
by gradient, vibration or weather conditions.
There are over many systems operating all over
Europe today.
The weighing system can be combined with FAUN
Zoeller (UK) Limited’s tracking system to transmit
weighing data over air incorporating GPRS data.
If a full blown Fleet management is required along
side weighing data the system can be tied into
market leading software to provide a full suite of
tracking reports, analysis and other added value
functionality.

Drive Assistant (EDA) is an electronic control device
designed to reduce fuel consumption by
