Good Morning! I hope this email finds you well as you near the end of another year (and in some cases your first year!) at Saint Anselm College. In preparation for the summer and upcoming academic year, I write to you as a reminder about our Fall semester move-in schedule. Each year, the Office of Residential Life (RLE) gives permission for a small number of students to move in early. These students include our preseason athletes and student staff members who work to prepare the halls for opening and welcome new students. All students granted permission to return to campus early are connected to campus offices and initiatives vital to the work of the College in August. In the best interest of the College and all students, it is important for us to consistently honor our early arrival policy and practice. The College sets a movein date with deliberation; it is not possible for us to accommodate students who are not connected to campus initiatives and practices outlined above. We ask that you start planning now! Residence halls will officially open for the Fall semester on Sunday, August 28, 2011. We hope this advanced notice will give you adequate time to make summer travel plans, arrange work schedules, secure transportation, and work through college move-in dates for other family members to accommodate your Sunday, August 28th move-in. I appreciate the difficulty this might raise, but please do not expect permission to return before that official “move-in” Sunday. Our residence halls open at 9 am. Thank you for your understanding and support. The Office of Residential Life and Education Sue D.
