Bin White Wine 125ml 175ml 250ml Bottle a Very dry, delicate, light white 1. 2. Antonio Rubini Pinot Grigio delle Venezie 2.75 4.25 5.45 14.95 Italy 2013/14 The Pinot Grigio grapes used to make this wine were grown in the Pavia region, not far from Milan in the North West of Italy. Shows apple and pear with hints of white peach and elderflower. Works well with lighter pastas and salad dishes, or simply on its own. Don Jacobo Rioja Blanco, Bodegas Corral 17.95 Spain 2013/14 Made entirely from Viura grapes, cool-fermented in stainless steel and bottled young to preserve maximum aromas and crispness. If you’re a fan of fresh, dry whites such as Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio looking to try something new, look no further! b Dry, herbaceous or aromatic white 3. 4. Tierra Sauvignon Blanc, Central Valley 2.65 4.10 5.30 13.95 Chile 2013/14 From Chile’s vast Central Valley, comes this fresh, zesty wine with strong varietal herbaceous character. An excellent introduction to this highly popular grape variety. Riverstone Ridge Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough 19.95 New Zealand 2013/14 A weighty and complex yet fresh example of Marlborough Sauvignon, with rich gooseberry and citrus aromas plus herbaceous notes on the nose. The lively palate displays tropical fruit and lime flavours, with a refreshing dry finish. We love it with seafood. c Juicy, fruit-driven, ripe white 5. 6. The Gourmet Chardonnay 2.65 4.10 5.30 13.95 South Australia 2012/13 Fruit-driven Chardonnay, unoaked with zesty, citrussy fruit and a structure tailor-made for food - try with our Cajun Chicken Spaghetti. Flagstone Noon Gun Chenin Blanc-Sauvignon 15.95 Blanc-Viognier, Western Cape, South Africa 2013/14 A brilliant blend from South Africa that delivers intense, aromatic, tropical fruit flavours spiked with a wedge of orange peel and a sprinkling of baking spice. Recommended with our Xacuti dishes. Vintages may vary. Bin Red Wine 125ml 175ml 250ml Bottle f Juicy, medium-bodied, fruit-led red 7. 8. 9. Luis Felipe Edwards Lot 24 Carmenère, 2.65 4.10 5.30 13.95 Rapel Valley, Chile 2013/14 Similar to the Malbec coming from neighbouring Argentina, Carmenère is very much an up and coming red grape variety. This example is a great introduction to Carmenère, juicy with rich dark plum, hedgerow fruit and a lick of spice. Paired with steak we think these two make quite a match! Altoritas Merlot, Central Valley 2.95 4.25 5.45 14.95 Chile 2012/13 Soft, light and fruity Chilean Merlot with aromas of plum and a hint of spice. Magic with our Lasagne. Flagstone Longitude Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz-Malbec, 16.95 Western Cape, South Africa 2013/14 Plenty of dark-berry fruits on the nose, which appear again on the juicy palate. Rich and medium to full bodied, with a soft and long finish. Great with our Sunday Roast. g Spicy, peppery, warming red 10. 11. Callia Malbec, San Juan 2.95 4.55 5.75 15.95 Argentina 2013/14 Originally from France, the Malbec grape variety has made its name recently in Argentina, becoming famous for producing rich, dark, chunky reds. This example from Callia is no exception, with ripe soft berry fruit flavours, plus a pinch of spice and vanilla fro m a brief period of oak-ageing. We think this is a great match for spicy red-meat dishes, such as our Balmoral Burger. Don Jacobo Rioja Crianza Tinto 19.95 Bodegas Corral, Spain 2008/09 A traditional red Rioja made very much in Bodegas Corral’s style, matured for a minimum of 12 months in American oak followed by at least another 12 months in bottle. Medium-bodied with a great balance of rich red fruit and oaky spice. Vintages may vary. Bin Rosé Wine 125ml 175ml 250ml Bottle i Dry, elegant rosé 12. Parini Pinot Grigio Rosé delle Venezie 2.75 4.25 5.45 14.95 Italy 2013/14 Although Pinot Grigio grapes are usually used in white wine production, the skin of the grape variety itself are in fact a copperyorange colour. This means that Pinot Grigio can also produce delicately coloured rosé wines too, such as this example from Parini, which features a gentle fruity bouquet and a soft, fresh palate. o Rich, fruity rosé 13. 14. Greenwood Pass White Zinfandel, California 2.95 4.55 USA 2011/12 A rich, fruity medium style of rosé, with plenty of watermelon, strawberry and redcurrant fruit. 5.75 15.95 Champagne & Sparkling Bottega Gold Prosecco Brut, Italy NV 20cl 7.95 34.95 Made from Glera grapes, grown in the Valdobbiadene hills, which are hand picked and gently pressed in the winery.
