Finished Measurements: 11” wide x 20” tall

HAT/NECK WARMER
Row 1: With larger hook, ch 30, sc in 5th ch
from hook and in each remaining ch across,
turn—26 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, working in back loops only, sc in
each st across, turn—26 sc.
Row 3: Ch 4, working in back loops only, sc in
each st across, turn.
Rows 4–39: Repeat rows 2–3 18 times.
Row 40: Ch 1, working through both loops of
row 39 sts and unused loops of foundation ch
at same time, slip st in each st across, fasten
off. Turn piece so seam is on inside.

Tie
Step 1: With smaller hook, ch 3, join with slip
st in first ch to form ring, ch 3, 11 dc in ring,
join with slip st in top of beginning ch-3. Do
not fasten off.
Step 2: Ch 80, slip st in 4th ch from hook to
form ring.
Step 3: Ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join with slip st in
top of beginning ch-3, fasten off.

Hat and Cowl

Hat
Pull ends of Tie to draw ch-4 loops together.
Tie ends in a bow to form top of Hat. Fold up
lower edge to form a cuff if desired.
Neck Warmer
Loosen tie completely. Pull neck warmer over
head and shape as desired around neck.
