Volunteers:
Ontario Senior Championships
Estimate 10-15 set up, 10 – 15 through the day for timers, runners and misc. help,
10 – 15 for venue breakdown and clean up. Suggest Hosting committee of 5 – 6
persons minimum, working in advance of the event on planning details.
Number of mats:
Four, all minimum 36 x 36 with adequate protection area.
Floorplan format:
One gym to accommodate all competition mats
Minimum Spectator Seating Capactity:
minimum 500 seats
Number of Change Rooms available:
One Male, One Female (all change rooms to have showers)
Washrooms available:
Two Male
Two Female
Hotel Space:
50 – 60
(number of rooms available within a 20 minute drive)
Medical Coverage: Minimum One Certified Athletic Therapist, ideally two. 3 – 4 medical
volunteers (eg. Therapists of equivalent) Friday evening for skin checks*

Event Format: Currently under consideration. Options:
1. Run the event as a one-day tournament for both age groups (*9 mats +/- needed)
2. Run the event as two-one day tournaments (Cadet one day, Juvenile the next). Could likely be
done on *5 – 6 mats. A typical school gym is not felt to be adequate.
