How to make a
BED SKIRT
Requirements: Metre fabric, measuring tape, scissors and a sewing machine or needle and thread
Step 1:
Measure your bed:
Length:____cm
Width:_____cm
Height:____cm
Step 4:
Cut out two pieces of fabric that measure the height
x width of the bed (one for
each side) plus 3 cm extra
for hemming. Fold the fabric
at the edges and hem three
sides as shown below.
Step 2:
Cut out one piece of fabric
that measures the length x
width of the bed, allowing 3
cm extra for seams.
Step 5:
Cut out 16 strips, 25 cm
long x 6 cm wide. Hem all
four sides of each fabric tie.

Step 3:
Cut out two pieces of fabric
that measure the height x
length of the bed (one for
each side) plus 3 cm extra
for hemming. Fold the fabric
at the edges and hem three
sides as shown below.

Step 6:
Sew the fabric pieces together as shown below. Tie
the decorative fabric ties
together to adjust for fit.
