Who May Apply: U.S. Citizens who have:
Completed all requirements for an associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational,
or technical degree or certificate from an accredited educational institution on or after October 21,
2013;
or
Veterans who received a degree or certificate on or after October 21, 2009, but were on active duty at
that time and unable to apply; AND who were released or discharged from active duty within the
previous two years of this announcement.
Joining the DHS Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO) will allow you to use your expertise to
provide procurement and acquisition management services throughout DHS. This Industrial Engineer
position is for recent graduates (see “Who May Be Considered” for more information) and starts at a

Position(s) will be filled under the Department of Homeland Security Recent Graduates Program. The
Department of Homeland Security Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the
Department of Homeland Security intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals
who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs. Successful applicants
are placed in a dynamic, developmental program with the potential to lead to a civil service
career in the Federal Government.
We are seeking intelligent and energetic Recent Graduates to participant in the Acquisition Professional
Career Program. This program is a three year career development program, one year within the
Excepted Service as a Recent Graduate program and two years within the Competitive Service, to
develop entry level candidates into trained and experienced contracting professionals. ALL selected
candidates will be placed in a GS-07 Industrial Engineer position, upon conversion from the one year
Recent Graduate Program, individual positions will have promotion potential to the GS-12 level.
Selectees of this position will be required to sign a Continued Service Agreement.
