The Norsat Ranger 60 is a self-contained microsat terminal that
fits within a weather-tight, airline checkable, IATA compliant
package. This system supports tool-free activation and
assembles in less than 5 minutes. Norsat’s “Easy-Acquire”
assistant makes satellite acquisition quick and simple, even to
the untrained.
All Norsat Ranger products have integrated iDirect modems and
the ability to support external modems. The Ranger 60 includes
a web-based GUI for remote system monitoring and accepts
input from AC, DC or rechargeable battery packs with smart
uninterruptable power supply (UPS) capability to power from
anywhere and ensure your link is always maintained. Power
efficient operation allows the terminal to run longer on batteries
without any external power.
The Norsat Ranger 60 terminal is a high performance ruggedized
satellite terminal ideal for rapid deployments where portability is
essential. Key features include:
• High performance. Rx Data up to 45 Mbps and Tx up to 8 Mbps
• Norsat’s “Easy-Acquire” assistant. No tools or instructions are
required for satellite acquisition
• Multi-band capable: Ku, X and Ka bands supported. WGS
compliant
• Light weight, portable and IATA compliant. Airline checkable and
packaged in a hard case or rucksack
• MIL-STD-810 tested. The Ranger 60 is ruggedized for use in harsh
weather, and does not require fans
• Battery powered. Supports up to 2 hours of uninterrupted use
without a power source
• Thermal design analysis and testing to operate in extreme
conditions
• Built-in LCD and keypad interface for easy-to-use pointing and
operation without a laptop
• Digital readout of azimuth, elevation and signal strength gives user
friendly feedback
• Swivel tripod base for easy azimuth pointing in uneven terrain
