Premises Work Charges and Customer Premises Work Charges
A.
These charges are a Time and Material (T&M) charging plan. The charges apply for billable
premises work done by the Telephone Company, at the customer's premises, at the customer's
request. Billable Premises Work and Customer Premises Work includes work preparation, actual
work, and clean up, but excludes work required to establish network access to the network
interface. For any billable work not provided in this catalog, the customer is charged the costs
incurred. The categories are Premises Work Charges and Customer Premises Work Charges.
Both apply to residence and/or business service.

Premises Work Charges are in addition to the S&E charges for telephone services and
equipment and apply separately per premises for customer requested billable premises work.
Moving the network interface or outside network wire are examples of when these charges apply.
Time spent by a Telephone Company employee performing billable premises work is charged for
in 15 minute increments. Premises work charges do not apply for the following activities.
a.
A move or a change of telephone services or equipment that is initiated by the Telephone
Company.
b.
Disconnection and/or removal of equipment, listings, network access lines, and Custom Calling
service features, provided that no other work subject to premises work charges is performed.
c.
Repair or replacement of Telephone Company provided equipment for which a monthly rate
applies.
d.
Repair or replacement of an exchange access line up to and including the network interface.
2.
Customer Premises Work Charges apply for installation or repair for material and time spent by
Telephone Company employees performing billable customer premises work beyond the network
interface to standard jack locations. A minimum charge is applicable. These charges will apply for
maintenance of customer premises wire if a maintenance plan has not been elected. The charges
will also apply for the removal of customer premises wiring. The charges apply per installation
work order or per repair trouble ticket. Customer Premises Work Charges do not apply for the
following activities.
a.
When at the customer’s request the Telephone Company performs diagnostic or maintenance
services and finds that there is no network interface in place and therefore installs a network
interface.
b.
Repair or replacement of customer premises wire when done under the provisions of the
Telephone Company’s warranties or optional maintenance plan.
