Octagon Free WiFi
The Dunedin City Council and
local WiFi provider Unifone have
teamed up to provide you with a
FREE wireless hotspot service in
the Octagon!
Using the service is easy...
1.
Connect to ‘Octagon Free WiFi’
using your device’s wireless
settings. Usually WiFi-enabled
devices will prompt you automatically when networks
are in range.
2.
Before using the internet, you will need to open your
browser. You will be automatically directed to the
‘Octagon Free WiFi’ web page, where you agree to the
terms of use by clicking ‘Enter’.
3.
You will land on www.dunedinnz.com, the official
Tourism Dunedin website, where, you can browse what’s
on in Dunedin and get access to the internet.
Note: Performance may vary depending ho many people are
using the service simultaneously. Smaller devices, such as
smart phones, may perform best in the lower Octagon where
the signal is stronger. The network is monitored for illegal
downloads and objectionable content and devices which abuse
the service may be blocked.
