The restaurant business has been a learning
experience for our family. We cook for you as we
would cook from our own home. Sometimes it's
“authentic” Mexican, sometimes it's Tex-Mex or
borrowed from another Latin-Hispanic Culture, and
sometimes it's just plain good because it is. Regardless,
we hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We like to
have fun in the kitchen, so if you hear us singing or
whooping and laughing, it's ok... we're still cooking!

Grilled items like, Steak, Chicken, Shrimp and Fish take
longer to prepare because they are made to order and we
have a TINY stove!
Mom & Pop are literally cooking your food... And
because we aren't a corporate chain, we use real
QUALITY ingredients, made mostly from scratch
and make it as FRESH as possible while trying not to
waste. Be kind if we run out. It happens... Trust me
the love makes it taste better!
We use a Cabbage-Cilantro Mix in just about
EVERYTHING instead of shredded lettuce. Crazy, I
know... but it's really good!
No Substitutions where stated PLEASE.
Please understand that changes to plates requires a price
adjustment. We of course want you to order what you
would like, it just may cost a little more.
TRUST US WHEN A DISH IS MARKED HOT... It is SPICY, It is
HOT, It will make you SWEAT!
It's ok to cry a little... we don't judge.
We do not have a fryer... Sadness I know! That means
we do not make our own chips, have deep fried tacos,
and no Chimichangas either.
The MAJORITY of our Menu is GLUTEN FREE. The
exceptions are flour tortillas and the bread for Tortas
and occasionally a daily special. Just ask! Quesadillas
sub flour tortilla for corn tortillas.
Unattended children will be rolled up in tortillas and
hung from the ceiling. It's a small space with hot
food... please don't let the little ones run around.
FOOD ALLERGIES:
PLEASE ALERT YOUR SERVER TO YOUR ALLERGIES. Cross
contamination can occur. If we can accommodate your
allergies we make every attempt. We do use peanuts on
occasion. We regularly use pecans. Soy is unfortunately in
several of our items. Dairy we can usually leave off. Ask to
speak to Christal if you have questions.

Flaca's Fried Taco
Lisa Adams is responsible for this one. (Ok, it's not really
fried... 8” flour tortilla stuffed with Refried Beans and
Ground Beef and then pan grilled like a Quesadilla. Then
we top it with Cabbage-Cilantro Mix, Queso Chihuahua,
Red Salsa and Sour Cream.

The Anderson Boys Slap Tacos
The Anderson Boys have been coming into the store since
we opened. Once they found out we had cheap tacos,
they started bringing in their friends! Slap Tacos in
Mexico are actually called Tacos Cachetadas and are
meant to be a snack to tide you over. Tortilla of choice
slapped with refried beans and whatever leftover meat we
have available and then slapped into a pan and grilled like
a quesadilla, but without the cheese. No children were
harmed while making these Tacos.

The Joey D Tostada
Were it not for the Dugdale family and their willingness
to take a chance on a crazy white lady who wanted to
open a Mexican Grocery store, La Tienda never would
have come to be! It's been hard to find a dish to name
after him, because he loves them ALL! This one is his
favorite, FAVORITE... so far... Crispy corn tortilla,
covered with, refried beans, sour cream, grilled chicken,
cabbage-cilantro mix, tomatoes, avocado, chipotle ranch,
and queso cotija.

The Tom K Quesadilla
Tom has an ungodly LONG and complicated last name...
love you Tom! Tom's quesadilla came about as a bit of
afternoon experimenting. 8” Flour tortilla smeared with
cilantro pecan and stuffed with cheese, grilled mojo de
ajo chicken, cooked avocado and then fresh sliced
avocado, then toasted to perfection.

Hannah might throw Manny a couple of punches if we
are out of Pesto! With a last name like Nuckols, I
wouldn't push it! She also LOVES the Cilantro Pecan
Pesto! So much so, she ordered it for her wedding we
were honored to cater. This is NOT Mexican, it's a twist
on a traditional Italian basil pesto. 2 Corn tortilla tacos

Manny is from the state of Veracruz. This salsa is popular throughout
Veracruz. There are many variations, but most include a nut of some kind
and a smoky chile similar to a Chipotle called Chile Morita. This is a SPICY
