Penrith will host the 2017 Australian Local Government
Women’s Association (ALGWA) NSW Branch Annual
Conference from Thursday 4 – Saturday 6 May 2017
at Penrith Panthers Event Centre.
Each year the ALGWA Conference attracts approximately 150 councillors, local
government leaders and professionals from across NSW. During May 2017 this
event will showcase Penrith as a leading regional city. With so many visitors to
the region, this conference provides an excellent opportunity to promote your
business and engage with local government community leaders.
Aims and Objectives of ALGWA:
1 To assist furthering women’s knowledge and understanding of the function of local government.
2 To protect and enhance the interests and rights of women in local government.
3 To take action in relation to any subject or activity of particular interest to women affecting local
governing bodies and/or local government legislation.
4 To act in an advisory capacity to intending women candidates for local government elections.
5 To encourage women into professional careers in local government.
The ALGWA conference provides an opportunity for delegates to exchange
ideas, network, debate and engage in cross-council collaboration on issues
affecting women in local government.
Consistent with Penrith’s broad adventure based activities,
the 2017 conference theme is “Your Adventure Starts Now”.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
CANCELLATION POLICY:
The details in this document are correct at the
time of printing. Penrith Council does not accept
responsibility for any changes that may occur.
Once sponsorship is confirmed:
»» Please note that the delegate list will only
include contact details of those delegates who
have given consent for the release of their
demographic information, as per Australian
policy laws.
»» Placement and size of logos included in the
Conference material will be at the discretion of
2017 ALGWA NSW Events Team and will reflect
the level of support given by your organisation.
All signage will be designed to suit the
requirements of the venue.
»» Due to the considerable administration
associated with the Conference, a cancellation
fee equivalent to 50% of the full payment amount
will be incurred should confirmed agreements be
cancelled prior to 24 February 2017.
»» Cancellations after 24 February 2017, confirmed
sponsors will pay a cancellation fee equal
to 100% of the full payment amount of the
confirmed agreement.
»» All requests for cancellations must be made in
writing to Shelley Lee, [email protected]
»» All company representatives must complete a
Conference registration form.
»» All company representatives attending and
participating in the Conference must register
and pay the nominated registration fee. Unless it
is part of your sponsorship package.
»» A completed and signed Sponsorship
Confirmation Form must be submitted to initiate
sponsorship. A tax invoice will be provided upon
receipt of confirmation form.
»» Placement within the Conference trade display
area is at the discretion of the organisers who
may make changes at any time due to logistics
and safety reasons or otherwise.
