the TULSA SHOW
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma – September 26-27, 2003

From Richard Carr,
Show Chairman:
The 27 th
Annual
Antiques, Collectibles,
Bottle Show & Sale
sponsored by The Tulsa
Antiques & Bottle Club was
held at the Broken Arrow
Community Center on
September 26-27, 2003.
The weather was
beautiful both days as over
60 dealers from 7 states
filled over 100 tables with
exciting items to sale.
Friday afternoon was
set-up for dealers as
Dee Mondey (Haslet, Tex.) with his painted label bottles.
everyone enjoyed seeing
old friends and new ones
and exchanging digging
stories and adding bottles
and antiques to their
collections. A few early
birds and club members
also enjoyed the set-up
time. All the dealers, club
members, and guests
enjoyed a great fried
chicken dinner sponsored
by the club.
Saturday was a great day
as a very large crowd
Vince Capucci (Highlands Ranch, Colo.. had a great show. enjoyed buying and visiting
with all the dealers. There
was also an arts & crafts
show on the other side of
the same building which
also helped the crowds and
buying. Overall buying and
selling was down from last
year probably because of
the economy but everyone
said they had a great time
and looked forward to next
years show.

From Roy Mize:
The Tulsa bottle show
was again a big success.
There were plenty of nice
ACLs, Oklahoma territory
bottles and soda go-withs at
the show.
I personally acquired a
nice "Hurry Drink-It" bottle
and there were two
"Uncle Lukes" priced right.
Although there was a lot
of bottle collectors there,
there was one empty table
that I would like to mention.
Our friend and colleague
Milfred Anglin had fallen ill
and was unable to make the
show and was home
recuperating.
One reason I go to the
bottle show is to see my
fellow bottle collectors,
Everyone missed Milfred.
Get well soon!

November-December 2003
From Susan Kaiser:
This is the second year that this show
was held at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
another huge success - thanks to the
wonderful organization of Richard Carr,
reservation chairman, and Bruce Stiles
and Jerry Callison as co-chairmen.
Many of the 100+ tables sold were
devoted to ACLs. Steve Thompson from
Mt. Pleasant, Texas got an extremely rare
Scott 12-ounce ACL from Holdenville,
Oklahoma from Larry Wilson.
Dee Mondey from Hazlet, Texas
brought many desirable ACLs to the show.
Terry Campbell, from Kansas City, Kansas, and a favorite among the ACL
dealers, bought a Donald Duck Lime Cola
from Dee and the larger size Uncle Sam
ACL, 10 or 12 ounce.
