Synthelis Signs Agreement with
Distribution of its Products in Japan

Grenoble, France, January 23rd, 2017 – Synthelis, a French biotech company, specialized in
cell-free production, purification and characterization of difficult-to-express proteins
announced today an agreement with Funakoshi Co. Ltd., research reagents and instruments
distributor in the life science fields, for the distribution of Synthelis proteins (including ion
channels, transporters, GPCRs, enzymes, etc.). Under this agreement Funakoshi becomes
the first distributor of Synthelis off-the-shelf products in Japan.

American markets. We are now in a phase of extending our cell-free technology offer more
globally. In order to develop ourselves in the Japanese market, we were looking for a local
partner with acknowledged expertise and worldwide renown in the life science reagent field.
Funakoshi seemed to be the clear choice to distribute our products and we are very pleased

The distribution agreement is effective immediately and covers all validated proteins available
in Synthelis online catalog. Proteins are available in flexible formats, desired quantities and
with suitable activity and purity for any specific application such as screening & display
technologies, antibody & vaccine development, structural biology and protein vectorization.
