Zip Fiji Season: 01 April 2016 to 31 March 2017 Description Let Zip Fiji take you to an amazing rainforest canopy tour. Using a Zipline, also known as Flying Fox, Zip Wire or Ariel Runway, you will feel the rush of adrenalin pump through your veins as you whoosh from platform to platform, 30metres (100ft) above the forest floor with speeds reaching up to 60km/hr.! A series of eight thrilling Ziplines many over 200metres long gives you the opportunity to experience a side of the islands that you never knew existed. The Nadi Zip Line Tour is set in cave/canyons and is located in the Tau Village at Momi Bay. (35 minute from Nadi). The Pacific Harbour Tour is set in the rainforest and is entirely tree based. It is located in Wainadoi. (25 minutes from Pacific Harbour). Inclusion: Round trip transfers from the selected hotels (Nadi Area/Coral Coast/Pacific Harbour/Suva) & light refreshments. Child Policy: All guests (Both children and adults) will be paying Adults fare. Cancellation Policy: Bookings cancelled within 24 hours prior to the tours departure will incur cancellation fees of 100% of the total booking value. Notes & Information: There is an additional transfer fee if the guest wants to go to the other zip line tour outside their travel zone which is already included in the Zipline cost. Nadi's travel zone is from Nadi to the Outrigger Hotel. Pacific Harbour's travel zone is Suva to the Outrigger Hotel. The Outrigger Hotel is the halfway point for both of our zip line tours and can go to either course without paying the additional transfer fee. Minimum Requirements for Participation: In order to keep all their guests as safe as possible, participants must meet the following minimum requirements. Zip Fiji reserve the right to refuse admission to anyone for safety reasons. In order to participate you must: 1. Be able to walk 15 minutes uphill over uneven ground unassisted and without walking aids and have sufficient mobility and strength to climb a 5-meter (20-foot) ladder unassisted. 2. Weigh less than 135 kilograms (300 pounds) and fit in the equipment (harness, helmet and gloves) in a safe manner as determined by the Head Guide (maximum waist measurement 120 cm/47”, maximum thigh measurement 70 cm/27”, and maximum head diameter 61 cm/24”). Because body weight affects the crossing speed on the traverses and excessive speed can result in injuries, guests may be asked to weigh in prior to participation. 3. Be able to be on a small platform approximately 5 ‘stories’ high without experiencing excessive anxiety or reactions such as dizziness, fainting, hyperventilation, unresponsiveness or vomiting. 4. Be at least 5 years of age and have a torso length of at least 45cm (18 inches). Children under legal age (18) must be accompanied by an adult. There is no maximum age. 5. Be able to understand directions and comply with rules. The tour is not recommended for persons with asthma, balance problems, epilepsy, heart problems, some disabilities, back, neck or shoulder problems or those who are pregnant. Intoxicated persons or persons using drugs or medications that may affect balance, concentration, coordination or judgment, may not participate. What to Wear and Bring: Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty or wet and that will not interfere with the adjustment of the harness or helmet. Most of their guests do the tour in shorts, T-shirt and running shoes; skirts, dresses and bathing suits are not appropriate. Closed-toe sport shoes provide the best protection for your feet however strap-on sandals are acceptable; you may not do the tour in bare feet. Bring camera, bottled water and insect repellent with you to the tour site. As it rains periodically throughout the day, you may want to bring a lightweight poncho or jacket or a change of clothing. Please bring a hair tie if you have long hair. Zip Fiji don’t recommend that you take your belongings with you on the elements since they can interfere with the equipment and you risk losing them, so they have storage area for small items at the tour site. Nevertheless you may if you wish carry a small shoulder bag, backpack or bum bag with you provided you understand that anything you take must be carried by you throughout the entire tour in a way that leaves both hands free. Please bear in mind that they are not responsible for loss or damage to personal property and they cannot recover items that are dropped from the tour elements.
