Travel and Arrival Information
WELCOME to National Camping School at Camp Resolute in Bolton, Massachusetts! The following
covers a lot so please read through in its entirety. The weekend school schedule differs from
the standard information published on the NCS website.

Health Forms
All participants and staff are required to bring a BSA Health Form Parts A & B. Aquatics will be in
camp more than 72 hours, so Parts A, B, and C signed by a licensed medical practitioner is
required. Click Here for BSA Health Forms. Download “for all Scouting Events” Parts A & B and “are you
going to camp” for Pistol and Aquatics.
Weather and what you should bring
Please refer to the NCS “Equipment Needed By Students”. In addition, we have included a list of items
that will make your stay with us comfortable. See below with regards to sleep arrangements and needs.
Weather this time of year - Apr 20-23: Some Sun, Some Rain, temps in the low 50’s. Come prepared
for cool nights and possibly damp conditions sprinkled in. May 5-7: temps are hi 60‐70’s and 40‐ 50’s
at night. Participants will be sleeping in tents, some layers again for cool evenings, and a sleeping
bag good to 32 should work.
Waterproof boots are strongly recommended for wet and mud as well as layers for the variety of
temps. Uniforms are required. Aquatics participants will need swim suits and towels for the pool time.
Facilities
There is one central shower house with flush toilets, and 2 additional shower houses in the camp. Each
camp site has a latrine.
All participants will be sleeping in canvas tents on wooden platforms. Cot and Mattress are
provided. You may want to consider mosquito netting with 4 x 36” dowels and zip ties (no duct tape
please!)
Power is available in all camp sites for CPAP Machines

Youth Protection Training
All participants and Staff are required to hold a current (within the last 24 months of NCS) YPT Training
Certificate.
Arrival and Departure Times
 Friday, April 21, 2017 – 7:00AM (Aquatics Full and Retrain Only) 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
All Aquatics recerts need to check-in between 9:30 and 11:00 Saturday morning. (All
other sections)
 Friday, May 5, 2017 - 9:00 AM (All sections report directly to class) Departure is Sunday at 3PM.
Those attending Retrain sessions will depart sometime after lunch on Sunday at the discretion
of the section director.
 Participants are welcome to arrive Thursday night. Your council will be charged $40 which
covers accommodations, dinner and breakfast.
Travel
If traveling by car – Address for GPS is 75 Hudson Rd, Bolton, MA 01740 – we are conveniently located
just off of I495
If traveling by air – arriving at Logan International Airport (BOS) – our drivers are prepared to pick you
up and drop you off at the Logan Express Terminal in Framingham. Logan Express picks up at all airport
terminals. There is a fee of $25 that is charged to your council. The rates below are based on 2016 fees
and subject to change.

When boarding, check with the driver to ensure you are on the Logan Express for Framingham.
When you arrive at the Framingham bus terminal a member of our support staff will be there to
pick you up or will arrive soon after your arrival.
If your arrival is delayed for any reason, please call our camp office 978‐779‐2777 so we can
update our pickup schedule
Worcester Airport (ORH) – Our drivers will pick up at Worcester Airport
If Traveling by Bus – Peter Pan and Greyhound to the Framingham, MA at the MWRTA bus shelter,
Shoppers World, near Olive Garden.
If Traveling by Train – Amtrak to Framingham, Commuter Rail on the Fitchburg Line to West Acton.

Parking/Vehicles In Camp
There is ample parking in our camp lot, however vehicles are not allowed inside the camp gates. Please
come prepared to carry your personal gear. We do have a few wagons available and the camp is not very
big. Exception will be made for participants with limited mobility. Please be sure to let us know when
you check in.
Weekend Schedule
The days are long and jam packed with lessons and sharing. Reveille during your stay ranges between
6:00AM and 6:45AM. Except for the 1st Friday, section time begins at 9AM Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday. We break at 11:30AM for lunch and return to section time at 12:30PM. Dinners are
approximately 6:00PM each day followed by more section time. Evening section time (including any full
group sessions) ends around 9:45PM. We offer an evening cracker barrel before retiring for the night.
Meals
All meals are family style in our dining hall, participants sit by patrol. We utilize the host method of
patrol members serving as waiter or hosts. This method will be explained at your campsite troop
meeting. Portions are ample and filling and we will also monitor dietary requirements based on
registrations to accommodate any specific needs.

Route 85 South. Follow Route 85 2/10’s of a mile and turn right at the entrance sign to Camp Resolute.
