MODEL SN15 FEATURES
Floating, electric powered, circulation and Trihalomethane (THM) removal
equipment for potable water tanks and reservoirs. Designed for continuous
operation and Factory installed through 24-inch sq. minimum clear roof opening.
1.0 Million Gallons Per Day, MGD. Medora application engineering evaluations
often require sizing systems based on site specific conditions and NOT the spray
aeration direct flow rate.
20% to 70%, dependant on THM Species, Daily Inflow and other variables, see
Medora Corp. for proposal.
Floating spray unit is 120 inches (3.0m) in diameter X 60 inches (1.5 m) tall and
weighs 550 pounds (250 kg).
Requires 480VAC/3PH, 60Hz power. All switches, breakers, emergency stop
buttons, control panels and other controls shall be installed in accordance to all
NEC, State, and local regulations. (Not supplied by Medora Corp.) Optional Franklin
SubMonitor three-phase motor protection unit recommended and available from
Medora Corp.
15 HP, stainless steel submersible motor. ANSI 61 approved construction for safe
contact with potable water. 480VAC/3PH, 60Hz required. 240VAC to 480VAC
transformer required for 240VAC Source Power (Not supplied by Medora Corp.)
20 to 100+ feet (6 to 30+ m) available in 16-inch (40.6 cm) diameter X 20 feet (6
m) sections, thermoplastic rubber, NSF/ANSI 61 approved. Includes low elevation
intake that draws water in a horizontal layer within 18 inches (45 cm) of the tank or
reservoir floor. Includes intake retrieval chain constructed of 316 stainless steel.
4-conductor, submersible power cable for submersible motor wiring, and TSP
submersible signal cable for pressure monitoring, terminated exterior at top of tank.
Minimum of 2.5 ft (0.8m) head space between water level and reservoir/tank ceiling
required.
Minimum of 5 ft operating depth required, do not operate unit out of water.
Expect 25-year life, minimal maintenance, no gearbox or motor lubrication/greasing
required. Limited 2-year parts and labor warranty.
Each Blower requires single-phase 240VAC or 3-phase 240VAC/480VAC (60Hz)
power, circuit breaker, and shut-off switch (Not supplied by Medora Corp.).
*Multiple 2HP blowers or centrifugal fan blowers, 3HP or 5HP, may be required
dependent on tank geometry or with multiple SN15 applications.
Single Stage Ventilation Blower, 2 HP Motor, TEFC. Blower is 4.5 ft (1.4 m) x 3.5 ft
(1.1 m) and weighs 250 pounds (68 kg). Qty. 1, SMI Model 275P filter element.
750 cubic feet per minute (22 cubic meters per minute) @ 6.0" H2O.
Centrifugal Fan Blower, 3 HP TEFC Motor. Blower is 5.5 ft (1.7 m) x 4.5 ft (1.4 m)
and weighs 1300 pounds (590 kg). Qty. 4, 24" x 24" x 2" : 10 micron filter elements
3000 cubic feet per minute (85 cubic meters per minute) @ 4.0" H2O.
Centrifugal Fan Blower, 5 HP TEFC Motor. Blower is 7 ft (2.1 m) x 4.5 ft (1.4 m) and
weighs 1500 pounds (680 kg). Qty. 8, 24" x 24" x 2" : 10 micron filter elements
6000 cubic feet per minute (170 cubic meters per minute) @ 4.0" H2O.
