PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
Thank you for registering for the 2017 Texas Children’s Hospital Family Fun Run,
in partnership with the Houston Marathon Foundation.
We look forward to a fantastic event on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Please read
below for important race details.
RACE LOCATION
Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands

not registered. All participants should wear the
red t-shirt provided, race bib (attached with safety
pins) and proper running attire. Strollers, walkers
and wheelchairs are welcome on the race course.
ARRIVAL TIME
The race will begin promptly at 9 a.m. For safety
reasons, all participants with strollers will start
10-15 minutes later. Please plan accordingly to
ensure you can park and shuttle to the hospital
in time. The official hospital ribbon cutting will
be at 8:45 a.m.
LOST CHILDREN
If you get separated from your child, a member
of Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands Security
will take them to the security tent – adjacent to
the Family Fun Zone exit. Please reunite with your
lost child there. Lost child stickers will be available
for use. Please write your cell phone number on
your sticker and place it on your child’s back.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
The race will continue rain or shine. If inclement
weather arises, please use your discretion on your
participation. The Race Director will monitor weather
conditions and make the final decision on continuing
the race. In case of cancellation, note your admission
is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
WHAT TO BRING
For security and safety purposes, we ask that only
registered Family Fun Run participants attend on
race day. Please, no spectators or guests that are

All participants must park at one of the off-site
locations and shuttle to the race site. Strollers
are welcome onboard the shuttles.
Parking will NOT be available at Texas Children’s
Hospital The Woodlands or any adjacent facilities.
If handicapped accessibility was denoted on your
registration form, you have been notified of your special
accommodations. Look for signage and volunteers on
race day for more details.

• Parking for race participants will NOT be available at
Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands on race day.
• All participants are asked to park in the parking garage
on the campus of Lone Star College Montgomery.
NO PARKING at Texas Children’s Hospital
The Woodlands or any adjacent facilities.
• The garage can be accessed via W. Campus Dr. on
the far west side of the campus. The traffic light for
W. Campus Dr. is accessed easily from Highway 242 W.
• Shuttles to the race will be staged just outside of the parking
garage, to the west of the Health Science Center (Building B.)
• Signage will guide you to the correct parking and

RACE ROUTE
The 1 mile route will begin in front of the hospital.
Please pay attention to the announcer regarding
start line procedures. Once on the course, we ask
that walkers stay right and runners stay left. All
participants will receive a medal at the finish line.

The H-E-B Family Fun Zone will be available to
all race participants once the race has begun.
All attractions, food and refreshments will be
complimentary (while supplies last).
