CTA Hot Toys for the Summer Call for Toy Submissions Please forward to your Marketing Department New Location + New Format = Great Event May 21, 2015 at the Ontario Science Centre First we moved Hot Toys for the Holidays, now we are moving Hot Toys for Summer as well! In 2015, Hot Toys for Summer finds a new home at the Ontario Science Centre on the Gemini Patio. This great outdoor space will be easily accessed by the media. The CTA is working to create a child‐centred event that encourages active play will foster greater press coverage. For Hot Toys for the Summer member companies are welcome to send a spokesperson to help demonstrate their toys, your spokesperson is also welcome to bring your toy samples and to assist in setting them up. If you are unable to attend in‐person a CTA staff person will set‐up your samples and CTA spokespeople will be on‐hand, please note the shipping window for samples to be sent to our office. CTA members are encouraged to contact us; if your mascot/ costume character would like to attend Hot Toys for the Summer; and/or your children would like to be included in this event. Help us get our message out; tweet and retweet us @cdntoy, and provide us with social media links to your company and your products so that we can build connections. Manager 2219‐160 Tycos Drive Toronto, ON, M6B1W8 Canada Toy Submissions  Due March 31, 2015 – Hot Toys for the Summer Confirmation  Hot Toy(s) submitted must be your projected best seller(s) at retail for the 2015 Summer Season.  Toys must be available on toy shelves by May 15, 2015.  Please complete the Submission Information page attached.  The number of toys and games we will feature will be based on your membership category:  Annual Sales under $500,000 = 1 indoor and 1 outdoor Hot Toys  Annual Sales between $500,000 and $5million = 1 indoor and 2 outdoor Hot Toys  Annual Sales over $5million = 1 indoor and 3 outdoor Hot Toys **If your company does not manufacture/distribute outdoor toys you may submit up to 4 indoor toys based on the net sales breakdown above**  Due May 1, 2014 – Write Ups and Photos (one per toy)  50 word write up (please submit an additional write‐up in French for any product available in Quebec, may be included in the same document). MS Word or compatible document must include your company name, product name, suggested age range, and suggested retail price.  1 photo (250+KB to 1 MB file). JPG file.  Due May 4‐8, 2014 – Toy Display Samples (if not being brought to the site by your company spokesperson).  Please ship 1 of each of your hot toys for display during the Hot Toys Media Event.  COD deliveries will not be accepted.
