Field Trip Permission Form
th
The King’s Fork Middle School 6 graders have been invited to attend a free performance of “Meet Mark
Twain!” at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts Thursday, April 10, at 12:00 noon.
The Virginia Stage Company brings to life the celebrated American author and humorist, highlighting Twain’s lectures and
short stories, as well as classics Huckleberry Finn and Life on the Mississippi. A hundred years after his death, Twain became
a bestseller all over again in 2010 when his full autobiography was finally issued per his instructions. Twain's wit and
wisdom remain poignant and laugh-out-loud funny today as they've been continuously for generations of Americans.”
In order for your sixth grader to attend this special event, please return the bottom portion of this form to his/her homeroom teacher
by April 4. No permission slips will be accepted after April 4. Any student who does not submit a signed permission slip will be
monitored here in the building during the field trip. Students are encouraged to dress for success for our field trip.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact your sixth grader’s English teacher by e-mail or at (757) 923-5246.
