Spanish 1 Syllabus Señora Rogers ¡Bienveniedos a la clase de Español! Welcome to Spanish class! In this course we will be developing the foundations of the Spanish language. We will become familiar with the Spanish alphabet, the sounds of the letters, simple sentence structure, and how verbs are conjugated. We will study proper pronunciation. We will study the vocabulary that will allow you to have simple conversations: to describe yourself, to describe your home and your town, to ask for and follow directions, to place an order in a restaurant, and other conversations. We will also be learning about Spanish speaking cultures. We will study about the basic geography, customs, traditions, holidays, traditional foods and clothing, and other interesting facts about the various Spanish speaking countries. Tips on Learning a Language Language consists for 4 aspects: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will have specific assignments that will help you to develop each of these skills.
