5:30 PM – 7:30 PM
Camp Format – One of the biggest threats to
youth athletic development is that sport-specific
skill is incorrectly prioritized at too young of an
age. A well-rounded athlete has the greatest
potential to maximize their ability once they
decide to specify in one sport. This camp will
introduce and teach fundamental strength
movements, running technique, agility drills,
conditioning methods, and stretching regimens.
Athletes will also be given an “at home” program
at the conclusion of the camp so that they may
continue to develop their abilities after the camp
is over. Because this camp will coincide with the
beginning of the CSAA football season, it will be a
great opportunity for young athletes to become
acclimated to the heat and develop the necessary
conditioning needed to safely transition into
practice. However, because this camp will
incorporate universal athletic components, it is
beneficial for athletes of ALL SPORTS!
Camp Information – The cost of the camp is
$100. Campers should wear shorts, T-shirts, and
running/tennis shoes. Cleats are optional, but
should be brought in addition to running/tennis
shoes. To ensure the best quality and individual
instruction, space will be limited. All sessions
will be held in the newly renovated Mueller
Weight Center and, weather permitting, inside
Brother Thomas More Page Stadium. Campers
may be dropped off and picked up at the circle by
the athletic office/campus store.
