Football Match
Well done to the Year Five football team who
represented the school in a tournament on Wednesday.
There were some brilliant goals scored in the
tournament. We started the group stage by winning 1-0 ,
then drawing 0-0 and finally winning our final group
game 4-0. This meant we were winner of the group stage
and through to the semi-final where won 3-1. We
reached the final but narrowly missed out by losing 1-0.
There was some excellent sportsmanship shown and
many commented on the children’s outstanding play 
The football team included Charlie.A, Fynn.B, Phillip.G,
Dylan.O, Michael.W, Alex.R, Rhys.G.W, Lukas.N, Cai.H
(Captain), Anderson.s (V.Captain).

Cross Country
Yesterday the cross country team took part in the race at
Arrowe Park. It is one of the toughest races of the

the team brilliantly by trying their hardest and running
the whole course. Well done to Gracie-Mae who came
4th, Ethan who came 6th, Kobus who came 7th, Ella who
came 11th, Dylan who came 13th and Harriet who came
14th.
As our daffodils are peeping through the grass in our
We are particularly proud of Aayan . During the race he
stopped running in order to help an injured child. This
act of kindness was recognised by the organisers of the
race who awarded Aayan a medal during the
presentation at the end of the races. It was wonderful to
witness such compassion and friendship at a competitive
event.
Daffodils
Thank you once again to the parents who kindly drove;
without their support we would not be able to
participate in these events.
school grounds we though that you would like to
share this very special poem with your child(ren)
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Easter Eggstravaganza
The Easter Eggstravaganza is on Wednesday 23rd March
from 2.45pm. The PTA would be most grateful for
donations of Easter eggs for the popular Easter egg
tombola. Donations can be handed into the school office.
Thank you.
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed'and gazed'but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:
Eggstravagant Egg Competition
A reminder to Year 6 pupils that their Eggstravagant Egg
designs need to be brought into school on Monday (21st
March). They will be displayed in the Hall and everyone
can vote for their favourite by putting 20p into the
appropriate pot. There will be a prize for the top 3
designs
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
