Cat5 HDMI extenders by using optical fiber to send high definition audio and video signals over long distances. This extender
also has built in RS232 for control and Bi-Directional IR.

Connecting HFEBIR232
- Step 1: Make sure all devices are off
- Step 2: Connect HDMI cable from HDMI receiver to the TV
- Step 3: Connect HDMI cable from HDMI transmitter to the source
- Step 4: If using the IR cables make sure when using IR receiver that the switch is set to RX for receive. On the side you
use the IR blaster set the switch on the HDMI extender to TX for transmit.
- Step 5: If using the RS232 cables connect them as well to the 3.5mm port.
- Step 6: Connect a LC to LC fiber cable between the HDMI TX and RX. (Use LC-LC Simplex OM3 50/125) available
premade at ZUUM.
- Step 6: At this time plug in the power adapters to electrical outlets and plug into the HDMI TX and RX. Turn on TV and
source.
- Step 7: Note you may need to change audio mode in source to PCM or two channel stereo. At this time you should have
a picture.
