DK DANCE VISIONS 11TH ANNUAL RECITAL- A WORLD OF DANCE
Many hands make light work- Thanks for your help and support. We go the extra mile to try to put on a recital that we all can enjoy and
be proud of. It’s a lot of work for everyone- but worth it when the final performance runs. Sincerely, Dayna Keller
Please check which day you help - and purchase tickets for opposite day. We have an initial day of ticket sales for parents and relatives on MONDAY APRIL
4TH @ the studio, 10am-11:30. YOU MAY PURCHASE FOR YOUR FAMILY ONLY- IF YOU ARE THERE FOR SOMEONE ELSE- YOU WILL PURCHASE
YOUR OWN TICKETS FIRST AND GET BACK IN LINE TO PURCHASE THEIRS- LAST YEAR THERE WAS A BIG MIX UP. $16/ ticket- only children 3
and under can sit on laps of parents- after that it gets hard for the people behind to see. If a child will be occupying a seat, they need a ticket. If you want

Backstage Hands-Backstage doors- These people really need to be at dress rehearsal to know how and when props go on- and find dancers rooms.
There should always be 1 group on stage, 1 group behind the stage, and 1group outside the backstage doors.1 group in the hallway.
KEEP IN MIND SENIOR DANCERS MAY STILL BE CHANGING SO BE PATIENT- THEY ARE ON EVERY 4TH NUMBER.

ATTENTION PARENTS- THIS SHOULD HELP WITH QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS
Find where you help out, and what day you are needed ABOVE. Purchase your tickets for the opposite day you help. Parent helpers are necessary for a
successful recital for everyone. If you can’t help the day you are on the schedule you can try to switch with someone in the room you were assigned to, or send
someone in your place (as long as you are not a stage hand). Purchase you ticket for the opposite day that you work. This enables everyone to sit and watch the show
knowing their children are being taken care of. THANK-YOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
THURSDAY MAY 5TH- 5 PM- Pre- Dress Rehearsal-Uniplex- Hall- -5 pm- start the finale number- regular dance clothes
and shoes- you may leave after your last #.
FRIDAY MAY 6TH- We will be decorating at 9am and have props to take in -Jody, Toni, Melissa, Amanda, Lori.
FRIDAY MAY 6TH- 5 PM- Dress Rehearsal-Uniplex- Full Costumes- Hair and make-up done. Start with finale again- you may
leave after your last number.
We need all parents to help in their assigned areas on FRIDAY- dress rehearsal.
This is our trial run, and everything will run smoother if we all have a practice.
Your dressing rooms will have signs beside them. You will not have privacy-the rooms are wide open- so if you want something to change behind- please bring it
along- it can stay in the room you dress in for the recital days. For dress rehearsal and recital- young students will need color books, games, etc to pass the time- as
everyone stays in their dressing rooms. SORRY NO AUDIENCE ALLOWED FOR DRESS REHEARSAL- IT GETS TOO LOUD AND UNPRODUCTIVE.
RECITAL DAYS- Be there @ 6:30-Sat/ 1:30 on Sunday- dressed in your first costume- hair and make up already done.
DRESSING ROOMS NEED TO BE LEFT IN A CLEAN MANNER- Miss Dayna has so many things to do after recital- so please make
sure your garbage is in the garbage can - all bobby pins, hangers, water bottles etc picked up off the floor.
DANCERS AND PARENTS- BRING DRY PEANUT FREE SNACKS ONLY AND WATER IN CASE OF SPILLS ON COSTUMES. IF
THEY ARE NOT PEANUT FREE IT COULD CAUSE A MAJOR ATTACK. SEND COLORING BOOKS OR GAMES TO KEEP THEM
OCCUPIED. We want all our dancers there for the finale number- they all get to take a bow, and will get a special keepsake.
REGARDING VIDEO TAPING- Rod Zwarych will be video taping and mailing the videos to you directly within 3 weeks of the recital (order forms will go in
your mailbox- return to Dayna asap). NO VIDEO OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED- it is distracting to the audience and dancers> you may take pictures
during the finale number and presentations.
