• Attended and spoke at the Homicide Survivors Vigil
• Met with representatives of the ACLU to discuss immigration and immigrant rights issues

• Testified before the State Senate Public Safety Committee regarding issues of interest to our department
and the county
• Attended the Western States Sheriff’s Conference
• Met with the DEA SAC and his staff to discuss issues of mutual concern
• Met with the HIDTA Executive Director and staff to discuss areas of mutual concern
• Was briefed by the Arizona National Guard regarding support services they can provide us to combat
drug trafficking
• Attended the Legislative Salute Dinner in Phoenix as the guest of Governor Ducey

immigration issues

Department Spotlight
In his first 90 days in office, Sheriff Napier has kept busy by focusing on reducing the budget
deficit and strengthening ties with the community. Altogether, Sheriff Napier has been able
to reduce the budget deficit by more than half. In addition to his regularly scheduled meetings,
the Sheriff has attended 107 meetings with department, law enforcement, government, and
