Southampton. This role comes available at an exciting time for the College with the arrival of our new Principal
Sarah Stannard. Our last Ofsted inspection in March 2011 graded the whole College as Good.
This post is particularly about moving our good employer work to the next level through both increased
commercial activity and continued improvement of apprenticeship numbers. You may not be an experienced
Further Education (FE) professional, but have a strong selling background as this role is about the development
of the sales team within a Further Education (FE) environment.
The successful applicant will take a lead role in managing our Business Development team to generate our
commercial offer and increase employer engagement via apprenticeship and work based provision.
Therefore we are seeking a person who shares this vision. We are looking for someone who can bring together
the efforts of the current staff and managers and mould the sales team into an outstanding team. The person
who is successful has to have the employers and student at the heart of everything we do; they will need to be a
robust planner and good at coaching their staff to get the best performance. I am seeking drive and enthusiasm
and someone who wants to lead from the front.
