TRAINING FOR YOUR FIRST 5K
A 5K is 5 kilometers (5,000 meters or 3.1 miles). It sounds intimidating, but following something as simple as a step-by-step 9-week training
program can take you from zero to 3.1 miles with ease! Simply choose three days per week and follow workouts 1, 2, and 3. Intersperse fun
activities (swimming, softball, soccer, cross-country skiing, basketball, jumping rope, yoga, etc.) that you enjoy on each of the other days to stay
active to break up the monotony.
