Parents…..did you know that in MyWeber (the
portal), you can set up your “preferences” to receive automatic emails when your student is absent or tardy! How
awesome is that! You can also set your preferences up to
receive automatic emails when your student falls to a D or
lower in any class.
Once you are logged into MyWeber, select “preferences”
from the top, right menu area.
Now you can simply select the notifications by clicking
on "No" to switch it to "Yes" and vice versa.
We highly encourage you to use this fantastic resource
that allows you to track, on a daily basis, how your student is doing with grades and attendance.
Thank you for all you do to help your student with school
attendance and being successful in school.
FFA
Weber FFA will be hosting an upcoming event in
conjunction with Broadview University Layton
Campus on Friday, February 26. The event will
consist of 5 FFA Career Development Events
(CDEs). The contests are Job interview, Floriculture, Milk Quality, Farm Business Management,
and Veterinary Science. FFA members from
across the state are invited to compete in these
CDEs to showcase and develop their skills prior
to competing in the contests at the state level in
March and April. Weber FFA works closely with
Broadview University’s Veterinary Tech and
Business departments to put this contest on.

Library Update
Spring Break begins April 4th. Students who have no fines or overdues will be able to check out 10 books for
their vacation reading.
Did you know that the library has resource lists for class assignments? Some of the more popular lists include
the Health Assignment list, Historical Fiction list, Civil Rights list, and AP Language lists. If a student needs a book for a class
assignment, ask if a book list is available. The lists can be accessed by going to the Library Catalog. Make sure you are on the
Catalog tab at the top. On the left hand side, choose the Resource Lists link. Then, go to the top r ight of the page and
make use you are on the tab Public Lists. Choose the list you need and open it. The list of books the teacher has approved will
appear on the screen. Please note to see if the book is “In” the library and write down the call number (located under the title) so
we can help you find it when you come into the library.
For library users, below are some of our most important policies:
1. Students using the computers or checking out books in the media center need their current Weber High ID. We scan cards for
both computer use and check out.
2. Book checkout is for three weeks. Book checkout limit is three books.
3. Overdue materials are assessed at 10 cents per day.
4. Students can avoid fines by bringing books into the library for renewal before they are due.
5. Students with fines will not be allowed to check out additional books until fines are paid.
6. Students should be receiving fine notices by e-mail when their books are overdue. These are sent to their WSD e
-mail account.
BOOKS AVAILABLE 24/7 : OverDrive is Weber School District’s ebook platform. Did you know books can
be checked out not only for high school students, but also for elementary and junior high students. Students use
their user name and password for computer log on. If elementary students don’t know their user name and password, it can be obtained from the elementary librarian. Books are checked out for 2-3 weeks (depending on settings) and evaporate into cyber space when the time expires. No fines! Try OverDrive today!
Registration for next year is almost complete! You have until March 1st to make any changes on your
course requests for next year. After March 1st, you will have to wait until August, and there will be
a $10 schedule change fee assessed.
AP Students!! If you are taking an AP exam, you must pay your $15/per test deposit to the
bookkeeper by March 18th. If you do not pay your deposit by this date, a test will not be ordered for
you. No exceptions. The remaining balance of $77/per test is due no later than April 22 nd. If you do
not pay the remaining balance by this date, you will not be allowed to test. No exceptions. The total
cost of each AP exam is $92.
March 1st Junior ACT Test! All Juniors must be at school by 7:30 AM and in their assigned testing
rooms. Rooms assignments are posted in the hallways and all teachers have the info as well. is a
great FREE opportunity for our Juniors! Sophomores and Seniors get to stay home on March 1st. 
