finishes, all speakers are neatly complemented by soft-feel black
baffles giving the system a premium and contemporary appearance.
The S 628 include optional speaker spikes while the S 622 and the
S 62 CEN have built-in keyhole mounts for on-wall applications.
Technology
Design
The Jamo S 628 HCS is the flagship speaker system in the Studio S
620 Series, with the power to reproduce every subtle detail in your
movies and music and the ability to fill a large area with maximum
acoustic impact. Two S 628 3-way floorstanding speakers with 10-inch
(254 cm) side-firing woofers are complimented by a matching S 62
CEN center channel speaker designed to provide crisp and detailed
dialogue from your favorite movies and TV shows. The compact but
powerful S 622 speakers provide the enveloping surround sound by
• S 628: 1-inch (25 cm) soft dome tweeter/three 5-inch (127 cm)
aluminized midrange drivers/10-inch (254 cm) side-firing woofer.
• S 62 CEN/S 622: 1-inch (25 cm) soft dome tweeter/4-inch (102
cm) (dual on S 62 CEN) aluminized woofers.
• Bass-reflex design with flared, rear-firing ports: Increases
bass output.
• Waveguide: Provides more uniform dispersion in the 2-10 kHz
frequency range for enhanced dynamics and clarity.
• Centre-plug (Aluminum on S 628): Eliminates cone breakup for a
more defined sound.
• Aluminized woofers (S 622, S 62 CEN)/ midrange drivers (S 628):
Increases cone rigidity for reduced distortion.
• Side-firing woofer (S 628): Provides a slim design and bass
optimization for varying room acoustics.
• 5-way binding posts (dual on S 628): Allows multiple connection
options with wire up to 12 gauge (AWG).
