We strive to inject a breath of fresh air within the estate agency industry and understand that communication
with vendors and buyers throughout the process is invaluable. The Dewhurst Homes ethos of hard work, passion
and always providing a personal commitment to each and every client from start to finish, is what gains our
enviable results. Our wealth of expertise and experience should not be underestimated.
“We firmly believe that no agent works harder to sell your home”.
It’s not about the cheapest fee or the highest valuation, and it’s not just about giving your property online
exposure; it’s how we market and how we communicate. We invite people to come into our office and feel the
positive, upbeat atmosphere. Our staff offer a considerate, committed, honest and enthusiastic service.
When we aren’t selling and letting houses, Dewhurst Homes are keen to be involved in many local community
projects and charities. Here are some of the recent activities that we have been proud to support.
Preston North End v Blackburn Rovers - Match Day Sponsors
PNE’s Man of The Match, Joe Garner - with Dewhurst Homes’ Chris Dewhurst and his granddaughter, Catelyn Dewhurst
The long awaited derby game between local football rivals, Preston North End and Blackburn Rovers,
saw Dewhurst Homes thrilled to be Match Day and Man of The Match Sponsors. The loud and
exuberant crowd of just under 20,000 fans, created an electric atmosphere down at Deepdale.
Unfortunately for the home team, Preston were beaten 1.2. Better luck next time for Preston, on the
return leg at Ewood Park! Chris Dewhurst’s 9 year old granddaughter Catelyn Dewhurst, who attends
St Wilfred’s R.C. School, Longridge, was over the moon to present Preston’s goal-scorer, Joe Garner,
the Man of The Match award. We think this hugely made up the disappointment for Catelyn, for her
favourite team not winning on the day!

All in the day of the life of an Estate Agent!
Dewhurst Homes Penwortham Branch had a surprise visit from several studious Year 11 Pupils, who
attend Wellfield High School, Yewlands Drive, Leyland.
Along with their teachers Mrs Ashurst and Mr Birkin, the pupils had been turned away whilst asking for
help from other Agents in the area. But only too willing to help, the Penwortham team were delighted to
lend their time and assistance.
For their Geography course work, the Year 11 pupils were undertaking a survey covering the housing
market, prices, the area and what effect if any, it has on the sale price and desirability.
Howard Roberts Branch Manager, said “I hope the students enjoyed their little mastermind session with
myself and our staff and felt welcome within our branch”.
The pupils kindly replied in class, “We received a warm welcome. It was an eye-opening trip and gave us
an insight into the community. The staff were kind and helpful and we would buy a house from you!”
Teacher Mrs Ashurst wrote with thanks “Please can you thank the staff for us, as they were great. They
actually all stopped what they were doing, sat with us and all joined in with the discussion. A lady from
the branch even found us again on Liverpool Road and gave us Dewhurst Homes pens. The pupils were
really impressed with their visit”.
Thankfully no detention for us there then!

Kim Graveson, Garstang Branch Manager at Dewhurst Homes heard that Garstang St Thomas CE Primary
School were raising funds to purchase new books. The school were hoping to add new titles to the school
library, particularly those that are being promoted through the Lancashire Library Service’s “Fantastic Book
Awards”, which the school participates in each year.
Alexandra Cooper, PR Manager at Dewhurst Homes was “Delighted we could help the school purchase new
books for the school library. Hoping it brings hours of pleasure and new learning skills. It was a pleasure for
Kim and I to meet Mrs Ife and some of the pupils”.
Mrs Ife, Head Teacher thanked Dewhurst Homes, “We are very grateful to Dewhurst Homes for their
generous donation. The school is very much a part of the community and we are always delighted to work
with local companies to further that community feeling. Their donation has allowed us to buy more copies
of these fabulous new books which means more children will be able to read them and use them as class
reading books, both now and in years to come.”
Hope we received 10/10 for that one! Happy reading!
Dewhurst Homes raise £1,300 for St Catherine’s Hospice
St Catherine’s Hospice are celebrating 30 years of hospice care this year and recently held a 30th
Anniversary Ball to celebrate the occasion in a marquee in their beautiful grounds.
They had an auction on the evening where Dewhurst Homes donated an Executive Box for a game at
Preston North End, which raised a fantastic £1,300 for the event.
Lynne Whittaker, Senior Fund Raiser at St Catherine’s said “We would like to say a huge thank you to
Dewhurst Homes for their generous support of our 30th Anniversary Ball.
We were able to raise a
considerable amount of
money on the night only
because of the fantastic
prizes we had on offer. The
executive box at Preston
North End donated by
Dewhurst Homes raised an
amazing £1,300, which will
be used to fund our
specialised care for local
people facing life-shortening
conditions”.

Double celebrations for Mr & Mrs Mault, who bought
and sold with Dewhurst Homes in a matter of days!
Happy Customers Indeed!
The Penwortham branch of Dewhurst Homes were recently delighted to receive thanks
from Mr & Mrs Mault, who had sold and bought with Dewhurst Homes all in the space of a
few days!
Mr & Mrs Mault spoke with thanks "After 31 years in our home, it was a huge decision of
who to trust with the sale of our home. Dewhurst Homes treated us not just as a client but
as individuals and guided us through every step of the process with care, personal
attention, speed and honesty. Within 24 hours of entrusting Dewhurst's with our property,
they had 5 viewings arranged and an offer was accepted within 2 days.
From valuation to photos and marketing, from negotiating and communication to solicitor
liaison and completion, they could not have looked after us and our sale better. We also
continued to purchase a property from Dewhurst Homes. We have every recommendation
indeed, to trust the team for a superior service above and beyond any expectations."
