Comedy Night In
Choose your date
Most people will be holding their
Comedy Night In on World Toilet
Day, 19 November, but you don’t
have to follow the crowd! Choose
what works best for you.
Get ready to laugh your socks (or slippers) off:
Watch your favourite funny film or stand up DVD, or download
some of our toilet-themed games.
Tell everybody!
Promote the event to your
friends or colleagues, using our
invite template (page 5) and handy
poster (page 6). Also text, email and
share the event on your social media
channels using #itsnojoke.
All funds raised have the chance to
be doubled through UK Aid Match –
so make sure everyone knows about it!
Don’t forget the food!
Drinks and nibbles are a must – and for
the creative among you, try our tasty
toilet bake off! See our cheeky extras for
some recipes to get you started.

Ask for money
It couldn’t be simpler – just ask your friends to donate the
amount they would spend on a night out. Just £21 could
help WaterAid build a toilet.
Every £1 will be
doubled by the UK
Government!
Ask your friends to fill out the guest list (on page 9). When
they complete this and tick the Gift Aid box, WaterAid can
claim an extra 25% on every donation – not to be sniffed at!
For those friends that can’t make it on the night, you can
set up an online page so they can still support WaterAid
